Kapil Sharma is not new to controversies. In fact, these days his controversies make more people laugh than his gags on The Kapil Sharma Show. But what happened with him and Sunil Grover will go down in the history as someone who just couldn’t handle fame. In the last few days, a lot has been said about this incident. Both Sunil and Kapil have reacted to this fight which is now affecting the show as well. We are pretty sure you might be at sea to figure out who said what when the news of the fight broke out. The Fight
So on Saturday at a time when we were trying to figure out if Ginni Chatrath is Kapil Sharma’s wife or girlfriend, came a news that shocked everyone. At first, it began with unconfirmed reports of a nasty spat between Kapil and Sunil Grover on a flight coming from Australia where they had conducted shows. Bollywood Life managed to get in touch with someone who also happened to be on the flight and the person said, “We were travelling in business class. It was a very long flight from Australia to Mumbai via Delhi. Almost every member of The Kapil Sharma Show was asleep beside him. Kapil looked visibly bored and had too many drinks. Suddenly, he got up and went to Sunil Grover. Within seconds, we heard him talking in loud tones and Sunil also lost his cool. Then, their companions had woken up and they interfered. Kapil was screaming at them to leave him. Some of them also got hit by his hands. Later, the situation cooled down. Kapil also apologised to everyone after the incident.” The source also added that the team was visibly embarrassed after this drama. In fact, the comments Kapil hurled at Sunil was very disparaging. As per the report on SpotboyE, Kapil told Sunil, “Tu hai kaun? Tera show flop gaya tha, tu mera nauka hai, tu Australia mein bhi jo show kiya khude se woh flop tha…” (Who are you? Your show was a flop, you are my servant, the show you did in Australia was also a flop).”
Sunil Vs Kapil
We also spoke to Sunil to understand his side of the story but his ‘no comments’ stand baffled us. At a time, when people on Twitter were enraged at Kapil for doing such a thing, he chose to maintain a stoic silence. We also got in touch with Kapil Sharma and this is what he said, “Mujhe yaad nahi (I don’t remember). Actually hamari har flight main ladai hoti hai (We fight on every flight)…har jagah ladai hoti hai (We fight everywhere)…It is a healthy fight…We fight for work…We fight for good work.” May be he tried to brush the incident under the rug but what he didn’t anticipate was some actions create ripple effects.

Perhaps realising that this storm is not going to die down just yet, Kapil issued a statement on his Facebook page. Check it out right here
But he wasn’t pleased with just one statement it seems. Last night he apologised to Sunil on Twitter as well saying,

It’s only usual for people from his team react to the ongoing incident. Kapil’s childhood friend Chandan Prabhakar decided to side with Sunil and didn’t report to work. He just plain refused to do so. Speaking about his decision to SpotboyE, Chandan said, “Yes, I am not shooting with Kapil today. They called me but I refused.” And there is a reason that he gave, “I told them that I am unavailable.” When he was prodded about the fight between Kapil and Sunil, Chandan said, “I really don’t want to talk anything about the flight incident”.
Kiku Sharda however chose to be on Kapil’s side and called him a ‘Sweet guy’ while refuting all talks about the clash.
Sunil wakes up!
After giving us a ‘No Comments’ reaction, he worded a long post which asked Kapil to not behave like God. He writes,

Last we saw, Kapil is doing his best to get Sunil to stay on the show. Despite Sunil’s befitting reply to Kapil’s starry attitude, the latter is still trying to mend ways and pretend as if nothing much has changed between the two. We scrolled down the comments on Sunil’s above tweet and we found Kapil tweeting much love to Sunil and confessing that he misses him on the show.

Channel feels the heat…
It seems like honchos at Sony Entertainment Television are worried about Sunil’s future on the show. The show has been a game-changer for the channel and they would not like to lose the momentum they have gained from the high TRPs. Though they have not spoken to Kapil so far, they intend to do that if things don’t work out. A source from the channel informed us that Kapil will be going to meet Sunil alone today evening. They will have a word with him post that meeting. The Kapil Sharma Show is a huge property for the channel. “They will speak to Sunil if need be,” said the source.
