2.0 director Shankar apologises for the attack on the sets of Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar’s film
Shankar apologises for the ruckus that happened on the sets of Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar's 2.0
A new controversy broke out on the sets of Rajinikanth–Akshay Kumar‘s
2.0 recently when two photojournalists were manhandled by the bouncers
present at the shoot location. Post the ruckus on the sets, the director
Shankar visited the Press council of Chennai to issue an apology. “I
am sorry. I am sure incidents don’t like these don’t repeat. It has
happened without my knowledge.” As per reports on India Today, one of
the journalists questioned the crew as to why they were shooting at that
particular shot in broad when they were allotted a specific time. He
had warned them about an incident that had taken place last week. But
nobody on the sets paid heed to him. When he began to take pictures to
bring to notice what the 2.0 team was up to , the bouncers reportedly
surrounded him and assaulted him. Another journalist who was present at
the scene was also attacked. In fact, one of the bouncers attacked his
face but later clarified he was trying to snatch the camera. As per
reports, the assistant director Pappu, who also happens to be Shankar’s
relative was detained. Awaiting further updates on that front.
