Anupam Kher on Gurmehar Kaur: What she said is right, no one wants war
Anupam Kher feels what Gurmehar Kaur said about war and Pakistan is right. Here's his explanation on the same.
Gurmehar Kaur’s post about her father being killed by Pakistan
and not war has taken a turn for the worse since the past few days. She
has been ridiculed and mocked by many including Randeep Hooda and
Virender Sehwag. However, the mockers got massively trolled in return.
Amitabh Bachchan, on the other hand, decided to keep his views about the
issue private and now we have Anupam Kher speaking about it too. On
ANI’s Twitter account, the actor has been quoted as saying, “What she
said is right no one wants war, soldiers are at borders to protect the
country not to take a bullet. So taking political mileage out of it,
evryone knws who they are;they’re laughable. Fir dusre bhi apne mann ki
baat kahenge.”
For the uninitiated, Gurmehar Kaur, daughter of a Kargil war martyr, posted a picture of herself holding a placard reading, ‘Pakistan didn’t kill my dad, war did’ and it made Twitter go on a war. In fact, many of our celebs mocked the girl for putting up such a message. Virender Sehwag posted an image of him holding a placard that read, “I didn’t score two triple centuries, my bat did.” He captioned the image as “Bat me hai Dum ! #BharatJaisiJagahNahi” Randeep Hooda then retweeted his post and clapped for him. That made everyone troll these two. Pooja Bhatt too slammed Randeep on Twitter saying, “He who laughs last, laughs alone. Pick on someone your own size boys! This is so NOT cool!” Even The Ghazi Attack actor Atul Kulkarni didn’t take Randeep mocking the martyr’s daughter lightly and replied, “‘Enemy doesn’t kill, the concept of war kills’ is a deep sentence.understand gravity of monster-WAR.Don’t MOCK”.
Javed Akhtars tweet, that read, “If a hardly literate player or a wrestler troll a pacifist daughter of a martyr its understandable but whats wrong with some educated folks” offended Mahavir Phogat so much that he took to Twitter to voice his indignation.
It seems that the controversy is only snowballing into an uglier one…
