Raees song Halka Halka: Shah Rukh Khan and Mahira Khan’s romance is intoxicating – watch video
Watch the deleted song from Shah Rukh Khan's Raees.
We informed you that a deleted song from Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees will be released today. And
the song titled, Halka Halka, is here. And we are wondering why the
makers thought to delete this song. It is pure awesome. SRK’s romance
with Mahira in this one is so on point. The song has dance and romance,
and would have sured eased the tension that builds up in Raees, had it
been kept.
Halka Halka has been crooned by Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal. And with a singing duo like that, the song had to be utterly melodious with just their voice. Then there is Ram Sampath’s awesome music, which makes this song worth listening on loop all day. Javed Akhtar’s lyrics are spot on. They are simple, not over the top poetic. Certainly easier to hum.
And please take a moment to let the naughty chemistry of Mahira and SRK sink in. The song begins with Mahira being all quirky and bubbly. She then teases SRK a little, and that is it – our hero is floored. He begins dancing in middle of the road in true 80’s style. Just when you think this song will be all dance, comes in a rain sequence. The rain sequence will make you wonder why can’t every Bollywood film have one song with rain sequence. The rain song in Halka Halka is a hybrid of Tip Tip Barsa Pani and Na Jane Kahan Se Aayi Hai. With the sensuality of the former, and quirkiness of the latter blending in perfectly. The song ends with the lead pair dancing with kids around them. So damn cute!
Shah Rukh, Mahira and Ritesh talked about the reason this song was not included in the film at the recently held press conference. The conversation will make you laugh. So, SRK blamed Ritesh Sidhwani, co-producer of Raees for removing the song, saying that he thought it will hamper the length of the film. Ritesh said “You are sitting here, and I will call the shots? Yeah right! Look how everyone is laughing.” Then the duo turned to Mahira, who was present there through a video call for the answer – whose decision was it to delete the song. Mahira knew the gravity of the situation, and said Zeeshan. The actor who plays SRK’s friend in Raees. Mahira did do well when put on the spot.
Well whatever the reason be, we are glad that the makers decided to release the song. Coz it’s so lovely!
