Zee Cine Awards 2017: Kareena Kapoor Khan replaces Katrina Kaif after her injury

Zee Cine Awards 2017 are just a few hours away, and we are super excited. At a big event like this one, there are bound to be a few hiccups. Katrina Kaif, who was set to perform on stage on the night, injured herself on the sets of Jagga Jasoos. Now, she is being replaced by Kareena Kapoor Khan. Yep! Kareena will be seen shaking a leg on stage at the Zee Cine Awards 2017. We wonder how she prepared for the performance at such a short notice. She said, “This is the best phase of my life and it feels great to be back on the stage. Zee Cine Awards is a celebration of the best of Indian Cinema and being a part of this show truly feels special. I am sure the viewers will enjoy the act as much as I did rehearsing and performing it.” Also, let us not forget that this will be Kareena’s first stage performance after she gave birth to her son Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi.
We wonder if Shiamak will be choreographing Kareena’s performance. The ace choreographer was stoked up about Katrina’s dance performance, and had said, “I’ve known Katrina for years! She has the biggest hit songs this year so it’s been fun choreographing her act, but I’m doing it differently in my own way which she always loves!”

But yesterday, Katrina’s spokesperson issued a statement, breaking the news that the actress won’t be performing at the ceremony. “This is to clarify that Katrina Kaif will no longer be performing at the Zee Cine Awards, due to an injury she met with on the sets. The doctors have advised her rest and to strictly avoid any strenuous physical activity or exertion. Katrina is extremely disappointed that she was not able to work through the injury. She is recuperating and will resume work shortly after a period of rest,” the statement read.
Well, the show never stops! Amongst the other performers are Alia Bhatt, Sunny Leone, Govinda, Raveena Tandon, and Varun Dhawan, who will be seen shaking a leg to songs of Badrinath Ki Dulhania.
