Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt you have got to get the chair sequence in Tamma Tamma right
The 90's kids will never forgive Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt if they do Tamma Tamma wrong
90’s was the golden era. The cinema of that era is no less than holy for the 90’s kids. From
Na Kajre Ki Dhaar to Tu Pyaar Hai Kisi Aur Ka- gems like these can no
more be created, but merely replicated. And to touch the songs and films
of that era for a remake is quite gutsy. The next one in line is
Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt’s Tamma Tamma Loge. Yep! A remake of the
hit song from the film Thanedar is on our way. Alia Bhatt and Varun
Dhawan will shake a leg on this new Tamma Tamma version. And we want
them to realise that they have a really high set benchmark to meet.
See, we know Varun and Alia are good dancers but the Tamma Tamma song is not about the dance moves but it’s about doing that 90’s kitsch justice. And the biggest hurdle ahead of Varun and Alia is to get the long chair sequence right. If any of you love Tamma Tamma AND dancing you have definitely tried to recreate the chair sequence.
For the uninitiated the chair sequence is almost a minute long choreography around a chair in the song. And without any cuts. It is harder than it looks, and would require a lot of practice. It is the backbone of the choreography, if you will. We suggest that Varun and Alia start prepping up right away for this one.
Out of Alia and Madhuri, the latter is a better dancer without a zilch of doubt. She is an icon. Alia is sure going to have a tough time to match up to her. And out of Varun and Sanjay, Varun is a better dancer. But he would have to tone down his enthusiasm a little to get Sanjay’s vibes right.
