Varun-Alia or Madhuri-Sanjay: whose Tamma Tamma version is your favourite?
Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt's Tamma Tamma Again from Badrinath Ki Dulhania or Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt's original Tamma Tamma? VOTE here!
Let’s not forget, Tamma Tamma Loge was a huge hit not just because of the groovy music and Madhuri’s flawless moves but also coz Sanjay Dutt for the first time proved his mettle as a dancer. I mean, the chair step is probably his career best which probably nobody can pull it off…not even Varun who stepped into Sanju’s shoes for the new version. Saroj Khan, who choreographed the original too proudly spoke to BollywoodLife saying, “There was no body double used for that step. There were 48 takes and Sanjay pulled it off within a day.”
But of course, coming to the latest – Tamma Tamma Again, Varun and Alia have equally owned it with their electrifying energy. I mean, it needs guts to bring back a song which is considered to be an all time hit. But like Varun said, “We are not trying to outdo Madhuri and Sanjay but are just paying a tribute to the song.” Guess, there couldn’t have been a better remake than this. Right from how Varun and Alia nailed the hook step to the kickass addition of Mannequin challenge, Tamma Tamma Again made sure to maintain a perfect blend of 90s and the new age. Of course, the only difference in the new one being – Rapper Badshah who played his own famous rap in between which according to me wasn’t even necessary.
So that brings us back to our first question – what’s your pick? Alia-Varun’s Tamma Tamma Again or Madhuri-Sanjay Dutt’s Tamma Tamma Loge?
Which Tamma
