Ranbir Kapoor – Katrina Kaif’s Jagga Jasoos to have 29 songs
Jagga Jasoos' music director Pritam has revealed that the film contains 29 soundtracks! It stars Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in leads.
The trailer of Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer Jagga Jasoos may have been a little too musical with just one dialogue by the end of it. But the
latest revelation by the music director of the film, Pritam
Chakraborty, is a little too shocking to digest! Turns out the film will
have a total of 29 tracks composed by him! The composer is proud of his
upcoming Jagga Jasoos and is most excited about the film. So much so,
at a recent interaction with the Bollywood composer, he said as much.
After his A&R (artist and repertoire) and incubation initiative
JAM8, which he debuted with the recently released Raees, he’s doing
something different with the soundtrack for JJ, which stars Ranbir and
Katrina. The Anurag Basu film has been in the news for several reasons,
but more so, for its rather rich soundtrack. “There are 29 songs in
all,” says Pritam, finally putting a number to the much-speculated
album.
When pressed for the reason, apart from it being a musical — that part is known — he said, “You see, Ranbir Kapoor stutters throughout the film, the only time he doesn’t, is when he sings. And every time he expresses an emotion strongly, it’s through songs. Think of the effortlessness and the way the songs are featured in La La Land. They’re part of the story. And the narrative flows forward through it.” We’ve been brought up by movies of Sooraj Barjatya which are as good as musicals so it has been quite a while since someone in the industry has presented a musical. Plus, Anurag Basu’s films always have a lovely set of soundtracks that make it an entertaining watch.
The film starring ex couple Ranbir and Katrina has already created a stir among fans. While patch up is definitely not in the cards for them, we EXCLUSIVELY found out how the duo will be promoting the film together. Yes, all the rumours of them doing separate promotions for their upcoming movie can take some rest now. They’ve agreed to do the promotions of Jagga Jasoos after a lot of persuasion from the director’s side. For quite a while now, they’ve been keeping an arm’s distance, well more than that actually, to ensure their paths don’t cross. However, perhaps because of their project, they’ll be coming together.
