Is that really Gurdas Maan’s son who is shown getting beaten up in this viral video? We don’t think so

A popular entertainment portal had posted two of these videos with the caption that it was popular Punjabi singer-actor Gurdas Maan's sons Gurikk Maan, who was at the receiving end of the brutal beating.

Is that really Gurdas Maan’s son who is shown getting beaten up in this viral video? We don’t think so Recently a video has surfaced that shows three Indian men getting beaten up by the locals in a tube train in Hong Kong. The three men were clearly seen being drunk, showering abuses in both Punjabi and English on the other passengers and banging the windows of the train, before one of them had the stupid idea of hitting a passengers. Soon it became a huge fight, where the locals roughed up the Indian men in a pretty messed up way. While this looks like just another mob beating video, the way it was circulating in certain sections of the media piqued our interest.
A popular entertainment portal had posted two of these videos with the caption that it was popular Punjabi singer-actor Gurdas Maan‘s son Gurikk Maan, who was at the receiving end of the brutal beating. At the first look, one of the lads who took the beating certainly resembles the singer’s son, especially with the beard and all.
Here’re the videos…
However one of the singer’s fans posted a news article below these videos, that totally negates the veracity of the claim that it was Gurikk Maan who was involved in the incident. The article from the website Ejinsight mentions that the Indians involved were brothers aged 17, 19 and 24. The report further states that “One of them bumped a 19-year-old woman and started harassing her. A quarrel ensued between her group — six men and two women — with the Indian brothers. A video clip taken by a passenger shows the Indians cursing and banging on the glass panel. One of the brothers slapped a male member of the woman’s party. He was subdued by other passengers. The trio then pleaded with other passengers not to call the police, saying they just had too much to drink. Officers deployed police dogs in making the arrests on the grounds of physical assault. A 24-year-old man was injured but refused to be sent to hospital. The eight Hong Kong citizens in his group were aged 22 to 61. The case is being handled by the Yau Tsim District Crime Investigation Unit.”
We guess everyone makes mistakes, right? But do tread with caution when involving a celeb in such an incident.
