But don’t worry, he intentionally got drunk to give full justice to the sequence…
Bollywood films are experiences that everyone of us love to enjoy. When an actor pulls off a scene with conviction, we applaud him. But not every actor can do full justice to the sequence because emoting a particular emotion for a particular scene is very hard. Irrfan Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui switch their emotions easily but every actor doesn’t have the same ability right? So, they prepare themselves by taking a few steps. A few days back, Varun Dhawan also decided to do the same. For an emotional scene in Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Varun was supposed to act drunk. And to look authentic during the scene, the star kid decided to get intoxicated with the help of a few pegs of whisky. If you thought this was the first time Varun has resorted to such a thing, then let me inform you that VD had taken a few drinks while shooting for an emotional scene in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania too! But, Varun isn’t a frequent drinker in real life. He is an occasional drinker, who generally avoids drinking coz he is a fitness freak. The insider adds, “If there’s a party or a special occasion, he may have one drink. But he knew that it was important for the scene.”
But after shooting for the scene for Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Varun felt the effect of the alcohol. Hence, he slept for an hour or two before returning back to wrap up the remaining shots for the day. When the daily contacted Varun, he revealed, “I had a few drinks as the scene required that kind of an effect. I was high for a while, but everything was okay.”
Varun and Alia will now complete their schedule in Kota in a few days, after which they will return to Mumbai. Alia will then promote her next release – Dear Zindagi along with Shah Rukh Khan, before returning back to Badrinath’s shoot. Varun and Alia will also shoot for Abhishek Varman’s Shiddat later in the year too. Anyway, tell us what you think about the measures Varun took to get his emotional scene right in the comments section below!
