Pink’s climax was changed, reveals Taapsee Pannu in an EXCLUSIVE interview!

Pink was one helluva movie that has been recommended by and for every man and woman. The film has been lauded by critics and audience and word of mouth helped the movie’s performance at the box office. Though a lot of people felt that the end or the courtroom scenes could have been better as they win the case based on morality and less facts. But people chose to let that go since the dialogues were very hard-hitting and realistic. In an exclusive interview with BollywoodLife, Taapsee Pannu who played one of the victims in the film, Meenal, revealed that the plot demanded that the girls lose the case but they tweaked the ending for viewers.
“The plot demanded that the girls lose the case since all the facts and evidence were against them. But we changed it to a victorious ending for the girls so people can take something valuable home after the movie. It was an attempt to motivate people to encourage people to take action and stand strong against such situations”, reveals Taapsee Pannu.

Taapsee, who plays Meenal in the movie, along with her friends breaks a bottle on Angad Bedi’s (Rajbeer) head. The incident leads to a series of threats, blackmail and the court case. The second half of the movie was completely taken over by Amitabh Bachchan‘s performance and his dialogues. We wish the makers had gone ahead with the original climax that the plot demanded. But, again, would the audience have accepted the movie the way it did had Meenal lost the case?
Even so, the movie made a strong point and both, Taapsee Pannu and Amitabh Bachchan, delivered a mind-blowing performance. Being from Delhi, Taapsee could relate to her character a lot and wanted to put across a message to everyone out to fight back. Some critics even said that Taapsee overshadowed Big B with her performance. (P.S. She has something to say about this too. Full interview coming up soon.)
After Pink, Taapsee will be next seen in Naam Shabana, as the lead actor, which is a sequel to Baby. The movie will not have any male lead and Akshay Kumar will be seen in a cameo in it. The actress is excited to work with Neeraj Pandey and in a female dominated movie. Taapsee was also seen in a music video recently with Saqib Saleem, Tum Ho Toh Lagta Hai, by T-Series. The actress is quite popular in the South Indian film industry and made her Bollywood debut with Chashme Baddoor.
