Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan banned by Indian Motion Picture Producers Association following MNS threat! Yup, it’s true. After all the MNS threats of ‘pushing’ them out if Pakistani artistes don’t leave the country within 48 hours, the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) has passed a resolution banning the Pakistani actors and technicians in India until the conditions are back to normal. And in case you are wondering about it, then yes, this will also affect Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, who will not allowed to work until the border war between India and Pakistan is solved, which I believe could take some time. After all India successfully managed a surgical strike on the militant camps near the PoK.
As per the tweet of ANI on Twitter which read, “Indian Motion Picture Producers Association(IMPPA) passes resolution banning Pakistani Actors & technicians in India till normalcy returns.” Well, sad news for all Indian fans of Fawad Khan and Mahira, but in a war-life situation you should expect such strict contingencies to take place, especially when people’s emotions are running high. There is a silver lining in the resolution passed by IMPPA. The ban on the artistes will not affect the release of Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, nor Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees. Fawad Khan had a supporting role in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, whose main cast involves the likes of Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma. Mahira Khan’s Raees was scheduled to release on January 2016. So if the ban is accepted, we can’t expect these stars to promote their films in India.
