Shahid Kapoor turned into a father a month back when wifey Mira Rajput delivered a daughter – Misha. Shahid has been on a paternity break after completing Rangoon and releasing Udta Punjab. He has been spending time with his wife and kid ever since he brought them home. Shahid is a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati and while the film was supposed to take off this month, we hear that he has asked will for a few more weeks to spend some more time with his newborn kid. Ain’t that perfect? In between this he was offered a lucrative project, but looks like he REJECTED it. However, the makers haven’t had any issue finding a replacement! Ex girlfriend Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is also turning into a mother soon, has been finalised and she has charged a whooping fee for it too. The project in question is an advertisement for a baby oil brand and so, the company was in search for a big actor who has just turned into a parent.. And now it looks like what’s Shahid’s loss is Kareena’s gain…
As a bitchy actress revealed to DNA, “Shahid Kapoor turned down a baby oil brand when they approached him to endorse it, as he doesn’t think it is right to make money off turning a father. But when the same brand approached expecting mommy Kareena Kapoor Khan, she readily agreed to do it, after quoting a whopping free. Kareena stopped performing at weddings and private events as her mother-in-law Sharmila disapproved because it wasn’t befitting the Begum of Pataudi.” Wonder what ma-in-law thinks now of her grabbing every endorsement associated with pregnancy and babies! 
Kareena and Shahid were dating for quite a few years before breaking up! Kareena married Saif Ali Khan after a few years, while Shahid married Mira Rajput last year. However, even after their break up, Kareena and Shahid have maintained a cordial relationship. In fact, the duo even shared screen space this year in Abhishek Chaubey’s Udta Punjab. Kareena had even congratulated Shahid after he became a father! Cool na?
On the professional front, Kareena is expected to start shooting for Sonam Kapoor‘s Veere Di Wedding next month. She will shoot for a few days post which she will go on a maternity leave. Shahid Kapoor, on the other hand, is waiting for the release of his upcoming film – Rangoon. He will also start shooting for Padmavati along with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in a few weeks.
