Beyhadh to replace Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhania and we feel fans of Ek Duje Ke Vaaste can relax for a bit!

It’s finally official. Beyhadh will take the prime time slot of 9 pm from 11 October on Sony TV. The thriller show will replace ‘Bade Bhaiyaa Ki Dulhania’, which is going off-air. The promos of the show were running across for three months. The makers and channel were not sure when will the show be going on air. So, finally a call was taken for the launch date of the show.
Earlier, there were reports that the show will take Ek Duje Ke Vaaste’s slot of 10 pm but it seems there is some time before the story logically ends. So the obvious choice was ‘Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhania’, which was not getting any ratings for the channel. The show started on a promising note with a star cast of Priyanshu Jora and Namita Dubey. But the slow pace of the show failed to get the TRP ratings. It could not connect with the audience as well.

That’s why the channel decided to close the show with the story ending with Abhishek and Meera’s wedding. The show was wound up in straight four months. Meanwhile, Beyhadh’s promos had created curiosity with the viewers. It was the comeback show of Jennifer Winget post her divorce with Karan Singh Grover. This was one of the main reasons for it being in the news. Jennifer is a popular TV actress who has done shows like Saraswatichandra , Dill Mil Gaye and Kasauti Zindagi Kay in the past. It’s been two years since Jennifer wrapped up Saraswatichandra and tried her hand in Bollywood. Her debut film Phir Se with Kunal Kohli still is struggling for release. So, post her ugly divorce she took a sabbatical and is now bouncing back to TV with a role with grey shades. It’s the first time Jennifer will be playing a negative role in her career. Also, Beyhadh is produced by the same producers as Dill Mil Gaye.) 
Along with Jennifer, Kushal Tandon also returns to soaps after Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai and Big Boss. The show is an offbeat love story of Maya played by Jennifer Winget who is in love with Arjun played by Kushal Tandon . Things change between them when Maya s love turn into an obsession as she is a sociopath. The show also has Aneri Vajani playing a lawyer called Saanjh who secretly loves Arjun and later is the romantic interest of Arjun.
The show is being shot since the last three months and has a bank of 20 episodes already. It’s produced by Cinevistaas Ltd and also stars Sachin Tyagi, Kavita Ghai and Sumit Bhardwaj.
