Sanjay Leela Bhansali, it’s high time that you announce the final casting of your film, Padmavati.
‘Cos we have been kind of tired guessing whether Ranveer Singh is in the film or not. Or whether Shahid Kapoor is kind enough to play the smaller part of Deepika’s husband in the film.
Shahid Kapoor had revealed his new bearded look which could be his look for Padmavati. Shahid Kapoor was reported to be playing Deepika Padukone’s husband, Raja Rawal Ratan Singh in the movie. Even though he won’t be playing the main lead, which is reserved for Ranveer Singh’s Alauddin Khilji, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is said to have amped up his role to fit his stature. This will be the first time Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone will be paired together in a movie.
It was rumoured that Shahid Kapoor’s inclusion in the film has made Ranveer Singh very wary, and he had asked Sanjay Leela Bhansali for a bound script, which irked the director. The actor felt cheated coz Bhansali was having secret meetings with Shahid behind his back. And despite knowing how important Padmavati is for Bhansali, he took off for a Swiss vacation. And if our sources are to be believed, Ranveer might abandon Padmavati and instead opt for Shimit Amin’s film.
