Revealed! The mystery behind Nargis Fakhri’s missing act from Bollywood

Nargis Fakhri did fly to New York and yes she was extremely unwell at that time. However this is not the only reason why the actress decided to stay back in the city. She had another major reason and it is connected to her next movie Banjo.

 

 

Nargis Fakhri  was surrounded by controversy few months after she left her Housefull 3 promotions mid way and disappeared to her home city New York. The reports during those time suggested that the actress was under depression which resulted after her split from beau Uday Chopra. She was also blamed for being extremely unprofessional after she abandon her next project Banjo; thereby leaving the makers in a fix. However the movie’s director Ravi Jadhav has something else to say on this. He rubbishes all these rumours and claims them as false since he very well knows what Nargis was upto at that time.
BollywoodLife had an extensive and elaborate chat with Ravi Jadhav few days back and he was the one who revealed this interesting thing about the actress. We obviously wanted to ask him whether the reports that suggested the actress had abandon this project were all true or completely made up. To this the director who was in all smiles, rubbished all these rumours and stories. He said that , “This is completely untrue. Infact we were shooting with her while she was in New York. She had to fly down since she was extremely unwell but post her recovery we were shooting with her.” So though he did not mention anything about depression, he did hint that she was not well but once the actress was at the pink of her health, the unit flew down to the city to shoot certain sections from the movie. So the news of her abandoning the project should never arise.

To the one’s who are unaware, let us tell you that Nargis will play a New York based DJ in the movie. She then comes to Mumbai in search of Banjo players to form their own band and that’s how she meets Riteish Deshmukh. So now we get the whole idea about what portions from the movie must have been shot in New York and what fun the crew must be having while reading stories about the actress ignoring this project. The movie is a genuine efforts put down  by Ravi Jadhav to highlight the plight of street musicians in India. The entire plot is about the Riteish’s journey to overcome all the hurdles and achieve respect for his talent.
