Priyanka Chopra demanded script changes in Baywatch?

The role which was initially written for a male actor was then revised to accommodate PeeCee

 

 

Priyanka Chopra who is the next big thing in Hollywood took her baby steps last year with her first television series Quantico and soon the actress signed her first Hollywood flick Baywatch. PeeCee has definitely come a long way since then and now there is no turning back for this current sensation. This desi gal who is currently shooting for the second season of Quantico has almost appeared on the covers of more than 15 international magazines and now the star has exclusively featured on Refinery 29 which is popular website in the West that focuses on fashion, style and beauty. With this latest move, PeeCee has joined the list of stars like Demi Lovato, Anne Hathway and Selena Gomez who too have earlier featured on this site.

We were the ones to tell you that, Priyanka Chopra’s character was earlier penned for a male actor however the script was later changed to accommodate PeeCee. Now the latest we hear is that it was Ms Chopra who urged the movie’s director Seth Gordon to cast her as villain. After urging the director for quite a god number of time, Seth finally gave up and rewrote Victor as Victoria. Well, this is an interesting twist in the tale, since we always thought that it was director’s wish to cast Priyanka but the fact says that PeeCee was always eager to be a part of the movie.
Though we don’t blame this Quantico star for urging the director cast her in his movie. Baywatch will see Priyanka essaying the role of evil Victoria Leeds.Talking to a leading fashion website in the west, Priyanka states, “This was so much fun, because it was not like a badass villain who’s getting into a fight. This was a woman using her woman skills to be a villain.”

However the actress will not like the fact if James Bond’s character is renamed as Jane if a women is zeroed in to play the character which is otherwise male dominated. If she’s offered the James Bond role, the actress won’t hesitate to take it up but with certain conditions. Speaking about doing the Bond movie in future PeeCee believes that, “It’s a story about a British guy who happens to be a white dude. There’s nothing wrong with that, whoever came up with it.” But the way she sees it: If Victor can become Victoria, then James Bond can be played by a woman. She should by James Bond only and not Jane since she should be able to sell it.”

Meanwhile Baywatch which is based on the popular American series in ’90s will see Priyanka sharing the screen space with Dwayne Johnsson and Zac Effron. The movie will hit the screens in summer next year.
