Beyhadh, Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil, Devanshi, Sangharsh, Bandhe Ek Dori Se – 5 upcoming shows to look forward to!
A lot of exciting serials are awaiting us in the coming months
Beyhadh
Jennifer Winget and Kushal Tandon’s show Beyhadh tops our list. It’s been in the news for its lovely cast and unique concept. Jennifer, who is making a comeback after Saraswatichandra, plays an obsessive lover in the show. Her role is said to be on the lines of Kajol from Gupt and Urmila Matondkar from Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya. We can also expect a love triangle between Jennifer, Kushal Tandon and Aneri Vajani, who plays a selfless lover. Three promos have released till now and all three have been received well. Beyhadh is expected to hit the small screen in October this year. It will air on Sony Entertainment Television.
Pardes Main Hai Mera Dil
Ekta Kapoor’s new show on Star Plus is going to be based on Subhash Ghai’s hit film Pardes. Drashti Dhami, Shaleen Malhotra and Laksh Lalwani have been roped in to play the lead characters in the show. While Drashti will obviously essay the role of Mahima Chaudhry, Laksh will play Apurv Agnihotri’s role and Arjun Bijlani will play Shah Rukh Khan’s role. Drashti was on a break post ‘Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani‘ and will be back on the small screen with this show. Isn’t this a good enough reason to be excited for the show ?
Devanshi
Be it the issue of child marriage in Ballika Vadhu or the plight of transgenders in Shakti-Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, Colors is known to make shows on social themes. It’s coming with yet another show-with-a-message in October. Starring Bhaage Re Mann actress Karuna Pandey, ‘Devanshi’ is said to be loosely based on the life of god-woman Radhe Ma. Karuna will play the antagonist and will essay the role of a dominant god-mother in the show. The show has an array of talented actors namely Ankita Sharma, Aamir Dalvi, Dolphin Dwivedi and Priyanka Khera playing pivotal roles.
Sangharsh
Remake of Salman Khan, Preity Zinta and Rani Mukherjee starrer Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, Sangharsh addresses the issue of surrogate motherhood and its complications. Sanjeeda Sheikh and Siddharth Shukla play a childless married couple who decide to get a surrogate mother played by Jasmin Bhasin who later develops feelings for Siddharth’s character. Jasmin played Twinkle in Tashan-E-Ishq.
Bandhe Ek Dori Se
Sony TV’s Bandhe Ek Dori Se is also something to look forward to. Starring Eijaz Khan and Niyati Fatnani in lead roles, it also has Benaf Dadachanji of Baa, Bahu Aur Baby. Saanvi (Benaf) and Mukhi (Eijaz) will play childhood sweethearts who will end up getting married to different people. Benaf will play a negative role in the serial and that is another reason to be excited for the show.
Excited much ?
