Salman Khan will return as India’s lovestruck RAW agent for the sequel to Ek Tha Tiger. Titled Tiger Zinda Hai, the film will be directed by the Sultan director Ali Abbas Zafar.

YRF has made this huge announcement today that the film is scheduled to release on 22 December, 2017, thus letting Salman fans to have two releases next year, the other being Kabir Khan’s Tubelight.
If you are still reading this (and I am sure you are…), it means that you are also super excited about the sequel to Ek Tha Tiger just like us. After all, Ek Tha Tiger had broken some pretty great records in its days, and was the biggest hit till PK broke its records.
Ek Tha Tiger was directed by Kabir Khan, and had Salman Khan play a RAW agent in the film, who while on a mission, meets Katrina Kaif’s character. She happens to be Pakistan’s secret agent, and naturally their love story is frowned upon by both the countries. This leads to some pretty exciting chase sequences, and Salman Khan being Salman Khan the action star.
So if you are still here, we have some really EXCLUSIVE stuff about the film. Here are five things you need to know about the film:
1 – Tiger Zinda Hai will be on the lines of Matt Damon’s famous spy franchise, Jason Bourne. Salman Khan may not be suffering from amnesia like Jason Bourne did, but he will be chased by his own country’s RAW team, an organisation he was a part of. If you remember, he was running away from them in the climax of Ek Tha Tiger to be with his ladylove.
2 – The film might have him being shown from an age-span of 17 years to 70 years. The same we can expect from Katrina Kaif as well, though after Baar Baar Dekho, I am not sure if we want to see her again in old age makeup!
3 – Tiger Zinda Hai will be mostly shot abroad, mostly in Europe, and Ali Abbas Zafar will travelling to a few exotic locales to do a recce there.
4 – The cast and crew of the film will be mostly international, so expect some really high octane stunts that will give some really tough competition to the best of Hollywood. This will also give the movie an international appeal.
5 – Rumour has it that there will be a few Hollywood stars in the film. The biggest piece of news is that the film’s main antagonist will be a female and she will be a foreign face as well. Now please don’t start guessing Iulia Vantur’s name!
So are you excited about Tiger Zinda Hai, like us?
