Now it’s been more than 10 years since Priyanka Chopra and Akshay Kumar have done a film together – their last film being Waqt in 2005. While
some blame it on their failed love affair. Many also suggest how
Akshay’s wife Twinkle Khanna has righteously warned him from working
with Priyanka ever again. In fact, back in 2014, even when a reporter
had tried to trick Priyanka about Akshay hoping to work with her, she
had hit back stating, “Firstly, I don’t think he said that. Secondly, I
pick up projects on the basis of good scripts and not actors.” So it’s
almost clear that Priyanka and Akshay’s relationship has gone kaput
professionally as well as personally. However, Akshay still maintains he
has no issues working with Priyanka. Yes…
Akshay, who recently visited Aap Ki Adalat to promote his next film Jolly LLB 2, was quizzed about his fallout with Priyanka. Have they sweared to never worked together again? And he said, “There is nothing like that. I have worked on five films with Priyanka. It’s not like I don’t want to work with her. Except for Rani Mukerji, I have worked with every heroine. If there is an opportunity, I will surely work with Priyanka Chopra.” Further when asked if he also has issues with Ekta Kapoor and Farah Khan and he sarcastically quipped, “Let us call Priyanka Chopra, Ekta Kapoor and Farah Khan and check if they have any issue with me. That way you will know for sure.”
Not to mention, Akshay had recently also praised Priyanka for her Hollywood success, on being the two-time winner of the People’s Choice Award. He said, “She deserves it. She has done a good job. She is making us proud.” We wonder what Priyanka would have to say in response to this. Will she bury the hatchet and finally mend ways with Akshay?
