We can totally understand the Highway babe’s plight…
Alia Bhatt turned a Shah Rukh Khan fangirl on sets of Gauri Shinde’s Dear Zindagi and we do not blame her. After all King Khan can floor any woman with his charm and those killer dimples. SRK’s presence made Alia so weak that she failed to deliver her scene. Yes, imagine the actress who has given us stellar performances like the one in Udta Punjab, Highway was literally tongue tied and shy to face the camera with Shah Rukh. A source told BollywoodLife, “Alia was too excited to be working with Shah Rukh. She was so conscious and happy to share screen space with SRK that she just couldn’t deliver her dialogues properly. Alia was trying hard to calm herself as the scene required her to be intense and overpower SRK. She had to reprimand Shah Rukh Khan and it wasn’t easy as it was her first scene ever with him.” Our source also added, “Shah Rukh had to finally take her aside and talk to her. It was SRK who broke the ice and from then on things went smooth.”
In an interview Alia Bhatt had referred to King Of Romance as magic, she said – “Shah Rukh is magic… his words, his persona, his eyes! When he looks into the camera, he is such a delight to work with!” The actress also felt that, “Shah Rukh has tremendous regard for everyone’s work and he doesn’t let the fact that he is Shah Rukh Khan weigh him or others down. He doesn’t let anyone feel unimportant.” While SRK and Alia’s track in Dear Zindagi has no love angle, the petite babe will be romancing four heroes in the film, Ali Zafar, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Angad Bedi and Kunal Kapoor. SRK plays the role of Alia’s quack in this film.
Alia and Shah Rukh had also shared the stage at the Filmfare Awards this year. In fact when Alia was quizzed about working with Shah Rukh Khan, the actress was super happy and revealed that ending the year with a SRK movie was like “cherry on the cake”.
Gauri Shinde’s Dear Zindagi is slated to release on November 25. Alia had three very different films releasing this year. The actress was first seen opposite real life beau Sidharth Malhotra in Kapoor & Sons. She then went on to reunite with her Shaandaar co-star Shahid Kapoor in the controversial Udta Punjab, where she portrayed the character of a Bihari migrant. She was last seen setting the stage on fire with her acts at the US Dream Team tour. Currently Alia is filming with Varun Dhawan for Karan Johar’s production venture, Badrinath Ki Dulhania a sequel to Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.
