The beautiful Nimrat Kaur
will be soon seen as a combat officer in Ekta Kapoor’s web-series. TV’s
czarina has roped in The Lunchbox actress for this power-packed role. Nimrat Kaur
will be playing the role of the first woman who was inducted in combat
role in the Indian Army. Nagesh Kukunoor who has films like Hyderabad
Blues and Dhanak in his kitty will be directing the show. This is Nimrat’s first
web-series. The actress is super excited and coming from a defence
background thoroughly identifies with the character. The lady has been
putting in some serious preparation and we got a sneak peek of that in
this video.
Well, Nimrat posted a video on the occasion of Republic Day, wherein we saw her in the mode of a combat officer. The lady is working out like a demon and her toned physique can give any leading actress a complex. We are guessing that she is working out religiously to look the part and coming to Nimrat, she never does anything with short cuts. Nimrat does the push-ups, jumps on the trampoline and runs like a speed machine. This is the first time are seeing her in total action avatar and she is surely inspiring dozens of women out there.
Nimrat had stated earlier in a statement, “Unconventional projects interest me. After Homeland (US TV series), I was keen to do a show that pushes me as an actor. The story is set against the backdrop of the Indian Army and since I come from a defence background, I got hooked instantly. What’s exciting about partnering with Ekta is the common belief that we need to shake up digital entertainment with power-packed, strong and brave original content.” The show will be produced by Balaji ALT. Nimrat is acknowledged as one of the finest actresses in the country post The Lunchbox and was superb in Airlift as well. However, we are excited for this outing of Nimrat like none other.
