Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan to appear on Koffee With Karan 5 AGAIN?
Buzz is strong that Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan will be coming on Karan Johar's show to promote their upcoming film Badrinath Ki Dulhania
Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan, who appeared on Koffee With Karan 5
with different couch partners earlier, are reportedly coming together
yet again for a fresh episode. Yes! You read that right. Buzz is strong
that the two will make their appearance on Karan Johar’s show to promote
their upcoming film, Badrinath Ki Dulhania.
Earlier for Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania also, the trio had got together
for a coffee conversation, not on Koffee With Karan though. But, for the
second installment they have decided to come on the show itself. And we
are not at all surprised. Firstly because, the film is produced by
Karan Johar himself and secondly because he loves Alia and Varun way too
much!
Alia was the first guest alongside Shah Rukh Khan to come on the fifth season. Varun made an appearance in the third episode with Arjun Kapoor. DNA quoted a source saying, “Last time she came with Shah Rukh to promote Dear Zindagi, this time she will accompany Varun to promote Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya.” Apparently this is not the first time when Alia will be appearing twice in a season. Last year, she made her debut with the Student Of The Year co-stars Sidharth Malhotra and Varun, and later accompanied Parineeti Chopra on the couch.
Koffee with Karan has become quite a promotional platform today. This season saw many movie promotions like Dear Zindagi, Dangal and Veere Di Wedding. It’s not that co-stars never appeared together on the show before but it was usually after the movie got released, the episode never used to be a part of the promotions. Karan had earlier expressed how the actors are coming more guarded on the show this time. Well, we are fine as far as we get our scoops(wink). But, we will have to agree that this season is not as spicier as its previous installments.
There was a lot of ‘conjecture’ (Karan’s favorite word) around Alia and Varun’s on an off relationship. The two had reportedly got quite close to one another during the shooting of Badrinath Ki Dulhania. And Alia’s constant denial of her being in a relationship with Sidharth Malhotra added fuel to the speculations. There were also reports of Sid having a fallout with Varun. Well, we hope Karan brings up all these questions in the episode.
The teaser of Badrinath is going to come out on 30th January so we can perhaps expect the episode to come sometime around that time. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film is slated to release on March 10.
