Padmavati shoot gets ugly! Protesters try to BEAT UP Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Jaipur – watch video

This is so petrifying. Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who was almost ready to begin shooting for the Jaipur schedule of Padmavati along with Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, faced a major heat of the protesters this afternoon. Members of Karni Sena stalled the shooting of film at the Jaigarh fort by not only disrupting the magnificent film set but by also manhandling Bhansali. Yes, a video of protesters trying to beat up Sanjay Leela Bhansali is doing the rounds on the internet where you can literally see people tearing off Bhansali’s kurta and also hitting him on his head. In fact, firing by Bhansali’s security guard too has been reported amid the scuffle. Damn! We wonder what traumatic state Bhansali must be in right now.
According to reports, the activists of this local organisation are protesting against allegedly distorting the historical facts in Padmavati. They’re claiming that Ranveer Singh recently mentioned about a love making dream sequence between him(Allaudin Khilji) and Deepika(Rani Padmavati) in the film which according to them was never a part of the history. Rani Padmavati never returned the love to Allaudin Khilji and that she eventually committed Jauhar. Reasoned an activist Vikram Singh, from Karni Sena, “”The film is presenting wrong facts about ‘Padmavati’. Our basic protest is about distortion of historical facts which will not be tolerated.”

However, in contrary to the above report, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s reliable fan club is refuting any such love making scene in Padmavati. They are arguing that the activists have got everything wrong for Ranveer never made a statement about the dream love scene and that they just need a reason to protest. Well, we dunno what truth beholds but if these protests are anything to go by then looks like Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati is under major trouble right now.
