Alia Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan, Karan Johar – More actors react to attack on Padmavati director Sanjay Leela Bhansali
In a very shameful act, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali was attacked by a group of miscreants on the sets of Padmavati in Jaipur. Shree Rajput Karni Sena, had a problem with a ‘rumoured’ scene in the script of the upcoming film, and that is all they needed. Activist from the Rajput oragnisation landed up on location of the movie’s shooting and started acting as hooligans. They destroyed cameras and equipment. And you’d think that would be it, but not. They even attacked filmmaker Sanjay, and beat him. In a video going viral on social media platforms, we see attackers grab Sanjay’s collar and slap him, as the security team tries their best to escort him away safely.
Earlier in the day Sonam Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Shruti Seth expressed their disappointment over the sad incident. Now, as the news and the video is spreading, more and more people are reacting to it and condemning the act. As of now two different hashtags are trending credited to the director. Fans and industry people are using #IstandwithSLB and #SanjayLeelaBhansali to voice out their concerns on Twitter, and Facebook.

“We had earlier requested him (Bhansali) to show us the script which he did not do. We are against distorting of historical facts and we know that he has distorted historical facts,” Vivek Singh of Karni Sena told a news portal.
Padmavati stars Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Ranveer Singh in lead roles. The three actors are yet to react to the sad incident.
Padmavati tells the story of Alauddin Khilji, the medieval-era Delhi ruler, who fell in love with Rajput queen Padmavati. Deepika plays the titular character, while Shahid plays Rawal Ratan Singh, and Ranveer plays Alauddin Khilji.
