Raees box office collection day 1: Shah Rukh and Mahira Khan’s film set to earn Rs 20 crore
Shah Rukh and Mahira Khan's Raees will earn Rs 20 crore at the domestic box office on day 1...
Shah Rukh Khan and Mahira Khan‘s Raees has
finally released and looks like it has started off well. People were
really eager to see the film and so they flocked the theatres to watch
it. This has set the cash registers ringing and we expect Raees to earn really well on day 1. Raees
has managed to register a decent occupancy of about 70 per cent
throughout the day across India. While it has been up and down
throughout the day, we expect it to grow further as the evening shows
kick in. This will help give a push to the collections of Raees, meaning that the movie will end the day on a high note.
After analysing the current trends, we expect Raees to earn anywhere in between Rs 15-20 crore on day 1. Our trade expert Amul Mohan (Editor of Super Cinema) had mentioned to us earlier, “January 25 is a non-holiday. As the following day is a holiday, a lot of people will be coming out. That’s a great situation for it to have. But the opening might not be that thunderous because I feel January 26 will be the biggest day for both the films.”
Shah Rukh Khan-Mahira Khan’s Raees also clashed with Hrithik Roshan–Yami Gautam‘s Kaabil at the box office today. Considering that Raees (2700 screens approx) had an advantage in terms of screen space (Kaabil has approximately 2200 screens), the collections will incline more towards Shah Rukh Khan’s film. However, we expect both the films to see a huge growth tomorrow as it is a national holiday (Republic day). But the winner will be decided by this weekend
