After Happy New Year and Chennai Express, Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees will be his third fastest Rs. 100 crore earning film

Shah Rukh Khan‘s Raees is doing really well at the box office which is simply awesome. Bollywood
needs a good first month to set the ball rolling. The film was expected
to do mammoth collections despite cashing with Hrithik Roshan‘s Kaabil and
it did just that. And now it is well on its way to make Rs. 100 crore.
It will be achieved today and will become his seventh Rs. 100
crore film. He has achieved it in just 6 days which puts it right after
Happy New Year (3 days) and Chennai Express (4 days). SRK is on a roll.
Happy New Year released on Diwali in 2014 and took the box office by storm. The first day figures of the film which is over Rs. 44 crore is still a record breaking number. The film made Rs. 100 crore in just three days making it one of actor’s biggest hits ever. Chennai Express which released in 2013, made the same number in just four days, thus fixing a spot in the Rs. 100 crore club. Republic Day added a humongous Rs. 26.30 crore to the tally, which is by far the highest any film has earned on R-Day. The holiday has definitely worked in its favour. Friday, despite being a non-holiday, brought in Rs. 13. 11 while Saturday got Rs. 15. 61 crore. Sunday again gave it a big boost which has taken the toll to Rs. 93.24 crore. Let’s see how Monday fares for the film.
