Siddharth Nigam has given a sneak peek from his role in Sony TV's Peshwa Bajirao
Sphere Origins’ big-budget show Peshwa Bajirao goes on air tonight. It is based on the life of Peshwa Bajirao, the much respected and feared Maratha warrior. While Rudra Soni plays young Peshwa Bajirao, actors Anuja Sathe and Manish Wadhwa play his parents. The show traces the life of Bajirao and we guess it will be a lot more than his much talked about relationship with Mastani. Peshwa Bajirao is being conceptualised since many days and we can expect it to get audience’s attention. Besides these, another actor is also acting on the show. It is teen sensation Siddharth Nigam. He is playing the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji.
After his stellar act in Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, Siddharth bagged the role of the young Shivaji. It is a cameo but an interesting one for the actor. Siddharth will be joined by Dipali Borkar, who plays the part of young Kashibai on the show. The young man has been quite busy of late. He did Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9 and is also a part of a film with Sunny Deol. Siddharth looks regal as Shivaji and it seems he will give it his best. The actor left a fab impression so much so that even Mohit Raina admitted that it was tough to fill his shoes.
We know that both Shivaji and Peshwa Bajirao are hailed as two of the greatest warriors that the Maratha Empire has ever produced. While it was Shivaji who established the empire as a strong one it was Bajirao who expanded it. We are sure will see some of Siddharth’s acrobatic skills this time round as well.
