Akshay Kumar compares Jolly LLB 2 with the fables of Birbal – watch video

When the dust of Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees and Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil settles down, Akshay Kumar will bring about his first release of the year in Jolly LLB 2.
The sequel to the 2013 film Jolly LLB, the movie has Akshay Kumar play a
small town lawyer in Lucknow, whose life takes a huge turn when he gets
his hands on a case that will get him lock horns with the corrupt in
the police and government. Huma Qureshi will be paired opposite him for
the first time in the movie, while Saurabh Shukla will reprise his
National award winning role of the honest yet whimsical judge from the
original. Annu Kapoor plays a high profile lawyer who will be the
opposing lawyer to Akshay’s Jolly, while there are speculations that
Arshad Warsi is going to have a cameo in here. Subhash Kapoor directs
this satirical dramedy.
The makers have release a new video of the behind the scenes footage of Jolly LLB 2, where both Akshay Kumar and the director Subhash Kapoor talks about how they perceived the character of Jolly LLB and they claimed they have took inspiration from the legend of Birbal. Anyone who has grown up hearing grandma’s tales or Tinkle or reading any children’s books will know who Birbal is. He is said to be one of the nine jewels of Akbar’s court, though our history books often disregard mentioning him, mostly relegating him as a fictional character. But that hasn’t stopped tales of his wit and humour, of how he entertains the mighty emperor with his smart answers.

Jolly LLB 2 is scheduled to release on February 10.
