Okay, let me start off with a disclaimer – We are not questioning any of the stars’ integrity or their patriotism per se… so stop trolling us, Mr X, Y Z,’s fans! Fine, now that you have calmed down let’s get to our point. We all know how patriotic our stars are. Whenever there is a crisis facing our country, they will come out on social networking sites to condone the attack or to praise our soldiers for doing the right thing. Plus, they are also known for their charitable acts which is also a sign of patriotism, and above all humanity. During the last year’s tragic Uri attacks, like Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, and others condemned the attacks. Similarly when India conducted surgical strikes at various terrorists outposts in the border, they even hailed our soldiers’ efforts. However, many a times their patriotism and sense of nationalism is brought to question by certain political outfits, who wants to use them to get more coverage for their own statements. But does that mean that these stars are any less patriotic than any of us?
Okay, we are getting a bit serious here, so let’s get back to our feature. In this one, we will look at how patriotic our fave stars are based on the number of patriotic films they have done over the years. Naturally, we have to keep the younger stars out like Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan, as they don’t have much films to talk about. And also when we say patriotic film, they don’t necessarily mean jingoistic flicks – patriotism will be there in the film as a subtle message or as an essence. And of course, you can argue with our findings in the comments section below…
