Controversies, new show launches, entries and exits, a lot happened in the world of TV. Of course, it was Kapil Sharma who gave the icing on the cake when he wrote to PM Narendra Modi after corruption in the BMC office. Here is a detailed look.

Kapil Sharma
India’s star comedian was mighty upset when he was asked to cough up a bribe of Rs five lakhs for an office space in the city. He took to social media and wrote to PM Narendra Modi if this was his vision of Acche Din. Mihir Fadnavis promised action against the corrupt officials while MCGM replied to him in five hours. We know that Kapil was one of the celebs to announce his support for Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan when it was launched.

Vivian Dsena-Vahbiz Dorabjee
The couple who is going through tough times in their marriage were spotted at Sargun Mehta’s birthday bash. They made separate entries but insiders reveal where cordial to one another when they bumped inside the venue.
Shweta Basu Prasad
The first look of Shweta as Nandini from Chandranandini was unveiled. She plays the love interest of Rajat Tokas in the historical magnum opus produced by Ekta Kapoor. It will replace Siya Ke Ram from October. It seems like the TV czarina has decided to resurrect her career that crumbled over the prostitution racket scandal in Hyderabad.

Sidharth Shukla
The handsome hunk is reportedly set to make a comeback on TV. Yes, as per buzz he is the main lead in Shashi Sumeet’s Sangharsh that will air on Colors in the same time slot as Krishnadasi. This is his return to the fiction space after Balika Vadhu. He will be joined by Sanjeeda Sheikh and Jasmine Bhasin of Tashan-E-Ishq fame.
Vishal Singh
A journey of five years came to an end. Vishal Singh who played Jigar Modi on Saath Nibhana Saathiya finally bid adieu to the show that made him a household name. Vishal, has been making waves on the international modelling circuit and scouting for work in the US and UK. We hope he gets something great soon.
Niti Taylor
The much loved Nandini Murthy of Kaisi Yeh Yaariyaan is reportedly been finalized to play Anas Rashid and Deepika Singh’s daughter on Diya Aur Baati Hum. This will her comeback after KY2 went off air. Iqbal Khan is also being considered for the soap.
Kratika Sengar
After a long anxious wait, it was confirmed that Kratika is indeed making a return on Kasam…Tere Pyar Ki. The lady will make her entry after the Mahaepisode. Basically, Tanuja (Shivani Tomar) will have a surgery, get a plastic surgery and look like Tannu (Kratika). It is not a very original idea but perhaps the most logical one here.

Indian Idol
The good news is the original format of Indian Idol is all set to make a comeback on Sony TV with the original judges Sonu Nigam and Anu Malik. Can it get more exciting!
