Baahubali among the 15 foreign blockbusters that Hollywood wishes they’d made!

A Hollywood portal (screenrant.com) has placed Baahubali among the 15 foreign blockbusters Hollywood wishes they’d made. Baahubali which is the only Indian film to enter the category, ranks at no 12. Some of the other films include Ang Lee’s Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Stephen Chow’s Kung Fu Hustle and Prachya Pinkaew’s Ong Bak:The Thai Warrior. The article says, “This list could not go without an entry from Hollywood’s biggest rival, Bollywood. One of the most hugely invested and massively productive national film industries in the world, with more than 1,500 films each year, Indian cinema is known for its flamboyant, wildly imaginative extravaganzas. South Indian director SS Rajamouli’s historical/fantasy epic Baahubali: The Beginning is one of its most magnificent creations. Some viewers may find Rajamouli’s filmmaking a bit over the top, but his grandiose vision is unlike anything seen in Western cinema.” Applause please.

The filmmaker is currently making Baahubali: The Conclusion, that is slated to release on 28th April, next year. According to reports on a leading portal, SS Rajamouli has shot four versions as to why Katappa killed Baahubali in Baahubali: The Beginning. Here’s what a source revealed to the leading portal: “Even the director too didn’t know the answer when he released the first part. Now, he has come up with four versions and will decide on one of them before shooting ends.” People are literally tearing their hair apart to know why. And now we hear, the entire crew filmed the scene that answered this question yesterday But here’s the interesting part–Only 3 people from the entire cast, crew and team know why Katappa Kill Baahubali! Can you believe it?! And that’s SS Rajamouli, the director, Prabhas and of course the writer. All this to avoid any sort of information leak. Whoa!

Tamannaah, who played the rebel warrior Avanthika in the film says the team is more excited than nervous about the second part. In an interview, she said, “We were more stressed out that time (referring to response for Baahubali). We did not how people in the South would react and whether the Hindi audience will accept it or not. Today everyone is excited to watch the film.” Throwing more light on the sequel, Tamannaah said, “We have got very good response commercially not only in India but abroad as well. So we are excited more than being scared for Baahubali 2.” It has been an physically strenuous ride for the actress who learnt horse-riding and sword fighting. She was further quoted as saying, “My role in part one of Baahubali was feminine, had song and dance. This time I have a very unconventional part. In part two, I will be doing action, horse riding and sword fighting. I had trained for this film.” She also revealed that 20 to 25 per cent of the shoot was pending.
