Rangoon song Yeh Ishq Hai: Kangana Ranaut and Shahid Kapoor’s steamy romance and Gulzar’s lyrics make for a bold and beautiful ditty

The second song from Rangoon has hit the internet and it is damn hot. Titled Yeh Ishq Hai, the romantic ditty has one extremely hot scene of lovemaking shot on the lead pair – Kangana Ranaut and Shahid Kapoor. We see the couple indulging in some passionate romance in a very open space, near a river bank.
The song being a romantic number, of course has been crooned by Arijit Singh. Is it just me or there has been an overdose of Arijit Singh fed to us now? Every second song has been sung by the man. He has a great soothing voice – no denying that. But c’mon not one song in every other movie out there. Though we have to admit that the talented, and gutsy, singer hits the right notes with Yeh Ishq Hai as well. The song will be cherished by all the love bugs out there. And more more for its musical brilliance and less for its stunning visuals. The song has been composed by Vishal Bhardwaj, and the lyrics have been penned by Gulzar. Like always, Gulzar sahab weaves poetry with his words. “Resham si nazron ko ankhon se sunta hai, ye ishq hai…”- if this is not lyrical genius, then what is?
Kangana and Shahid’s chemistry is really hot. The scenes will make you wonder why no one ever thought to the cast the two of them together. Their love making scene is full of fire and passion. Though notice that Bollywood’s utter obsession with love making in open spaces continues till date. There was Preity Zinta and Saif Ali Khan in Kyaa Kehnaa, and there was Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover in Alone. What is up with all these people not being able to get a room? Apart from the sex scene, Yeh Ishq Hai is full of scenes with visual brilliance. The scene where a palm of a hand catches the dripping wax from a burning candle is quite intriguing. Or the scene where Shahid Kapoor runs his finger on a dry wound on Kangana’s back – which was clearly inflicted by a whip, in a dimly lit room, it also makes you want to know more about the story of Julia.
