Shah Rukh Khan, here’s what you can learn from Akshay Kumar’s back-to-back success!

Rustom actor is unbeatable and we know why…

Shah Rukh Khan is nothing less than an enigma. People love to flock him whenever he is seen in public. He even obliges by letting fans click pictures with him even when he is on a vacation. He understands he is everything because of his fans and he gladly acknowledges that. But despite having a huge fan base, his last film Fan turned out to be the biggest disappointment of 2016. And his Raees got postponed to January 26 to avoid clash with Sultan. Things have been on a down-spiral for the actor since Dilwale released last year. But we feel if he just follows Akshay Kumar‘s success module, he can get past this bad phase in his career.
Akshay has been really successful in all his endeavors in last couple years. Be it Gabbar is Back or Housefull 3, he has managed to consistently make money at the box office. He may not have broken tremendous amount of records but his films made a lot of profit. And there are reasons behind his consistent graph which is what SRK should take into account next. Why? Read on.
#More is actually good
Shah Rukh Khan has curtailed the numbers of films he does in a year substantially. The last time two of his films released in the same year was 2011 when Ra. One and Don 2 released. If you keep aside his special appearances, he has managed to keep one film every year only. 2016 could have been different had Raees clashed with Sultan last Eid. That way he is losing out on a lot of moolah at the box office. We told you how Akshay’s three films this year managed to beat everyone from SRK to Salman to Aamir Khan. Hence, more is always merrier.
#Keep it low, budget-wise
Every director who has worked with Shah Rukh Khan has mentioned how indulgent the actor is as a producer. These days, SRK produces a lot of films he stars in. It’s great to have a producer like that but it considerably puts the film at higher risk at the box office. Akshay Kumar’s films range from 50-60 cr in budget and by the time a film finishes its one week run, it has already recovered cost and has started gaining profits. That means by controlling the budget, he can manage to give better experience to his fans. It doesn’t a take a toll on him as well to make copious amount of money and everyone is happy at the end of it all.
#Fans come first
Shah Rukh admits he is a fan of his fans but these days, he is hardly playing to the gallery. If you think Dilwale was a typical SRK film, we beg to differ because the romance between Kajol and him was half-baked despite having so much potential. At present, SRK is trying to do different cinema, case in point is Fan which didn’t have romantic angle or a song. But Akshay makes sure he does films like Entertainment and Housefull 3 to keep his fans who love to see him crack them up happy. That’s called knowing your audience.
#Versitality with merit
Akshay Kumar has managed to create a perfect balance between intense serious films and brainless comic capers. He knows when to do what. Special Chabbis showed him and everyone else what he is capable of and he makes sure he chooses films that keep his creative side happy as well. Shah Rukh Khan is trying newer stuff with Dear Zindagi and Aanand L Rai’s film where he plays a man with height issues but he isn’t evaluating what his fans really want from him. Would they be happy to see him as a man fighting his affection for a girl because of his short height or as a life coach without any romantic inclination towards the lead? These are some questions Shah Rukh needs to answer before he chooses such hatke projects.
