Ae Dil Hai Mushkil: Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s sizzling chemistry will be a game-changer – here’s why!
We have seen the teaser of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil much before the launch, and we have to say, it is more intense than we expected. One of the highlights of the teaser, in fact, the biggest, is the sizzling chemistry between Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
The film is directed by Karan Johar
Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is one of the most exciting film to watch out for this remainder of 2016. The director is returning to making films after a gap of four years, when his last release Student of The Year, came out. He has been quite busy in the interim producing films, hosting events, judging reality shows and organising Dream Tours.Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is said to be an intense love story, or for the matter, a love triangle, between Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma. There is also Fawad Khan who will be have some sort of role to play in this awkward romance.
We have seen the teaser much before the launch, and we have to say, it is more intense than we expected, something on the lines of Karan Johar’s Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and My Name is Khan. Karan Johar’s film promises to be a emotional rollercoaster of romance and relationships with passion, anger, laughter and tears all playing equal parts. However one of the highlights, in fact, the biggest, is the sizzling chemistry between Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
The teaser showed glimpses of their ardour in the film, especially those much hyped lovemaking scenes. Which makes us realise that Bachchan parivaar’s displeasure with those scenes is quite understandable. Now Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is definitely going to play a much older character than Ranbir in the film, and their track will be reminiscent of what Rishi Kapoor and Rakhee had in Doosra Aadmi.
However, their track will be quite a game-changer in many ways. Despite the success of Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Ki & Ka, Bollywood still looks down upon older women romancing younger men. This is not such a huge deal in Hollywood (Courtney Cox, who plays Monica in FRIENDS is five years older to Matthew Perry, who plays her boyfriend and later husband in the series).
But in ADHM, even though we know that Aishwarya Rai is older to Ranbir Kapoor in real life, none of that shows in the scenes they share in the teaser. Their scenes are intense, just as Ranbir and Deepika’s were in Tamasha, and we don’t feel any kind of awkwardness in seeing them getting too close for comfort.
If the movie clicks well, this could open up a lot of opportunities for directors to experiment with their romantic pairings, instead of always relying on the same old combo of having a Varun or a Alia, or a Ranveer or a Deepika.
BTW, Aishwarya Rai looks like a million bucks in the film, which could be her most sensual role till date. And hopefully, her role in the film will also make you erase those unsavoury memories of Sarbjit and Jazbaa.
