Aamir Khan to play Ranbir Kapoor’s dad in the Sanjay Dutt biopic?

We all know that Ranbir Kapoor is going to play Sanjay Dutt in his upcoming biopic, that will be directed by Rajkumar Hirani.

 

If that’s true, we just got another reason to be excited about the film.

We all know that Ranbir Kapoor is going to play Sanjay Dutt in his upcoming biopic, that will be directed by Rajkumar Hirani.

The movie has already piqued our interest for three main reasons – first, it is a Rajkumar Hirani film, second, it is a Rajkumar Hirani film that stars one of best actors in town, Ranbir Kapoor. Thirdly, Rajkumar Hirani is directing a film on his dear friend Sanjay Dutt’s tumultuous life. We are sure we will be having glimpses of Sanjay Dutt’s drug phase during his early days, as well as his TADA conviction during the infamous 1993 bomb blasts and his sentencing later for five years.

Now there is another piece of news that is making us more interested about the film, if it actually turns out true. As you know Sanjay Dutt’s father, Sunil Dutt, played an important role in his life, and according to the entertainment portal Pinkvilla, the makers of the film have approached none other than Aamir Khan to play his role. Aamir is said to be impressed by the screenplay, and even with the role that they have offered him, though he is yet to give his final nod. Though we do have our doubts that the actor will take on a role that allows him to play a father again after doing so in his upcoming Dangal.

Interestingly, both Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor had shared screen in PK, which was directed by Rajkumar Hirani, where Ranbir had a cameo in the film.
