Sonakshi Sinha fans are waiting with baited breath for this Friday as her movie Akira will hit the silver screens on September 2. Starring Sonakshi in the lead role, Akira has only her as the main lead in the movie. Directed by A.R. Murgadoss, Akira has Sona playing the role of a badass college-going student who is unfazed, unafraid and stands up for what is right. This is Murgadoss’ first ever heroine-centric movie.Sonakshi’s role in Akira is rather hattke than everything she has ever done before which is what makes this film an interesting watch! The trailer shows her in a fierce, feisty, fearless avatar that will leave you speechless! The trailer and the songs have already created a lot of buzz solemnly because the Dabanng girl unleashes pure rage that would compel you to watch Sonakshi’s power-packed action-filled avatar in the movie. In her exclusive interview with BollywoodLife, we asked Sonakshi if she did all the stunts by herself. To which she said, “Yes, I have done all the action..all the stunts by myself because I wanted it to look more real and convincing.” “The kind of action that I have done in Akira is very raw and slick. It’s something very different from what I have done so far, which is why I chose to do the film, in the first place,” she added.
Woah! Now this sounds interesting! Doesn’t it?
If you are completely taken aback by the Akira girl in the songs and trailer, then these 10 exclusive pictures and stills will make you more curious to watch the film! After Akira, she will next be seen in movies like Noor, Namastey England and Dabanng 3.
