Akshay Kumar fans, brace yourselves!!! Rustom has entered the Rs 100 crore club! Yes, you read it right! Akshay Kumar and Ileana D’Cruz starrer Rustom has minted Rs 101.08 crore within 9 days of its release. The film has already been declared as a blockbuster hit, is one of the highest grossers of 2016 to have collected over Rs 90 crore within one week. After Airlift and Housefull 3‘s success at the box office and with Rustom joining the bandwagon, it has been once again proved that Akshay is the box office king of 2016! Trade analyst Taran Adarsh had yesterday predicted that the film will cross the 100 crore mark and today, his prediction has come true. In the first week, the film collected over Rs 90 crore at the ticket window, quashing Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro which also released with Rustom on August 12. Rustom has collected Rs 100 crore+ within 9 days of its release which is lesser than Akki’s other releases of 2016 i.e Airlift (10 days) and Housefull 3 (13 days) .

Rustom, directed by Tinu Suresh Desai and produced by Neeraj Pandey is a crime thriller based on the real life incident of Naval Officer K.M. Nanavati and businessman Prem Ahuja. the film also stars Arjan Bajwa and Esha Gupta in important roles.
