No, it is not a remake and it probably won’t have Katrina Kaif as well.

Salman Khan will return as India’s lovestruck RAW agent for the sequel to Ek Tha Tiger. Titled Tiger Zinda Hai, the film will be directed by the Sultan director Ali Abbas Zafar.
And if you are still reading this, that means you are also super duper excited about the film like us. After all, Ek Tha Tiger had broken some pretty great records in its days.
So if you are still here, we have some really EXCLUSIVE stuff about the film.
First of all, Tiger Zinda Hai will be on the lines of Matt Damon’s famous spy franchise, Jason Bourne. No…no… Salman Khan won’t be having memory loss in the film; it’s just that he will be chased by his own country’s RAW team, an organisation he was a part of. If you remember, he was running away from them in the climax of Ek Tha Tiger to be with his ladylove, played by Katrina Kaif.
Tiger Zinda Hai will be mostly shot abroad, and Ali Abbas Zafar will travelling to a few exotic locales to do a recce there. The cast of the film will be mostly international, so expect some really high octane stunts that will give some really tough competition. Sources close to the film reveal that there will be a few Hollywood stars in the film, and Salman Khan’s leading lady will be a foreign face as well.
So, I guess, that means Katrina Kaif is mostly out!
The original film, Ek Tha Tiger, was directed by Salman Khan’s fave director Kabir Khan, the first of their blockbuster collaborations which was later followed by the record breaking Bajrangi Bhaijaan and the upcoming Tubelight.
