We have EXCLUSIVE details about Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s Padmavati sets!

After heartburns and closed door meetings, Padmavati is on track with a set getting erected in a Mumbai studio. Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor are part of this film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

We just confirmed to you a while back that Ranveer Singh has signed up for Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor‘s Padmavati after reconsidering the part. Ranveer will be playing Allauddin Khilji, the warrior who falls for Rani Padmavati (Deepika) and wages a war against Raja Ratan Singh (Shahid) to capture the Queen. While the apparent fallout between director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ranveer had stalled the film, we hear that Padmavati is back on track and will release on December 15, 2017 as planned.

In fact, the pre-production work is going on wholeheartedly and a set is being made currently at the Mehboob Studios in Bandra, Mumbai. A few outside pictures of the sets have been doing the rounds recently, so we decided to dig deep and remove some more information about it. And yes, we have been successful. We hear that the sets at Mehboob is being used to shoot a song and the construction of the actual set has not yet started. However, the film will take off next month as planned. As a source close to the development reveals to us EXCLUSIVELY, “The set at Mehboob studios is a small set. You will see the interiors of a big palace on the set. The full interior is going to be white and the whole set will be completed in a week’s time. A few scenes and a song will be shot on this set, before moving to the actual set at the Goregaon Film city.”
Yes, like Bajirao Mastani, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is going to erect a huge set at the Goregoan Film City, Mumbai and will shoot for the majority of his film on hat set. You may see a huge palace along with a few other small sets being created at the film city for Padmavati. Ain’t that cool?
Obviously, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has chalked out everything properly before starting work. We all know how particular SLB is about his sets. He wants everything to be perfect and that sets him apart from the rest. The director was praised and received various awards for his work on the sets of Bajirao Mastani. The BM sets were superb and it reflected in the film, if he can recreate such artwork, Padmavati will be a visually appealing film. And we know the acting capabilities of Shahid, Ranveer and Deepika, so it might just be an instant hit!
Earlier, sources told us that Ranveer had walked out of Padmavati as he felt betrayed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Buzz was that SLB had promised Shahid a meatier role in the film, which ticked the Bajirao Mastani actor off. Sanjay and Ranveer’s relationship was strained, but looks like they have sorted out their issues.

The whole fight started when Deepika refused to work opposite a TV star or a new actor (like Vicky Kaushal). Shah Rukh Khan and Fawad Khan also rejected the role of Deepika’s husband in the film coz it was not prominent enough. So, Sanjay turned to Shahid who agreed to sign Padmavati if the role was modified. SLB agreed, but Ranveer didn’t like this move! However, looks like things have cooled down and Ranveer has finally signed up for the film. The pre production work is also on and the new set will be completed in a week.
