Will Kangana Ranaut be able to recreate the magic of Fearless Nadia in Rangoon?
Starring Kangana, Shahid and Saif in titular roles, the war drama - Rangoon is slated to release on February 24, 2017.
The trailer of Rangoon came out last week and it has
left us spellbound! Be it Kangana, Shahid or Saif; all three of them
look phenomenal in the trailer and why
not.. afterall it is a Vishal bhardwaj movie. However, not many of us
are aware of the fact that ace director Vishal Bhardwaj, many years ago
had this wish to make a film on the life of the stunt queen Fearless
Nadia. So much so that there were even news of him signing German
actress Franka Potente for the part. Well, the project never moved
beyond those news reports. But today, years later, it seems like
Bharadwaj’s dream project is finally coming true and who else other than
the Queen of Bollywood Kangana Ranaut could have played the role
better?
The superbly sleek cut trailer shows Ranaut having a great deal of fun doing the Nadia like ‘Fearless’ stunts and flirting with and seducing the two men in her life, played by Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. Rangoon, set in 1944 when World War 2 raged across the world, the movie wears a lush ripe look. The three protagonists look good together, and apart, and seem to believe in what is essentially the story of a movie star persuaded to travel to a war zone to provide recreational relief to soldiers. What makes the trailer even more interesting for a lot of Kangana’s fans is that she has shared some really steamy lip-lock scenes with both her co-stars Shahid and Saif.
The trailer captures the chaotic excitement of war-time exigencies splendidly. But the one person whose massively excited about a film on the life of Nadia is her grand-nephew, choreographer Shiamak Davar. “She was my Marymai. She loved me insanely and left her famous trademark whip and mask and even her house to me. I was always her favourite and she said it openly.” said Shiamak in an interview. It was Shiamak’s ‘Marymai’ who encouraged Shiamak to take up dancing. “She was my inspiration! She encouraged me to sing and dance. She urged my parents all the time to never stop me from chasing my dreams. I am where I am because of Marymai’s encouragement.” he further added. With so much excitement building in and everybody raving about Kangana’s character of Ms. Julia, we just cannot wait to see her sizzle and set the silver screen on fire.
So from what it looks like, Kangy will be able to do complete justice to her role in the movie. However, let’s wait for Rangoon to hit the movie screens.
Our sources exclusively revealed it to us that the makers are set to treat us with the first song from the film this weke. The song titled Bloody Hell is gonna be out by Tuesday or Wednesday and it is an item song! Well, after the gripping trailer, we can’t wait for the first song from Rangoon to come out.
