Hrithik Roshan: I’m looking forward to the Raees – Kaabil clash

We had a nice chat with Hrithik Roshan about life, Kaabil, clash with Raees and of course, his sons Hrehaan and Hridhaan. The actor was pleasant and extremely candid about the same as he answered without beating around the bush. With his upcoming film clashing with superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees, question on the same was bound to be asked. So we decided to discuss the same with him. Roshan had a very genuine answer as he wished the best for both the films that are releasing on January 25, 2017. Our journalist questioned on how the clash could have been averted like how Deepika Padukone did with xXx: Return of Xander Cage, when the producers preponed the release date in India. To this the actor brought in the example of the famous painting he doodled on his wall in his residence with his kids, as he conveyed that he’s looking forward to the clash and doesn’t mind the competition.
The 43 year old actor said, “I have a painting on my wall in my house where there are two boys, one on top of each other’s shoulders, and they are cancelling out words should have, could have and then they write did. So I don’t believe in talking about what could have happened or what should have happened. It’s a waste of time. What can we do, that is what I asked myself. What can I do now? We can do the best, I should do the best for my film. Ritesh and Shah Rukh should do the best for their film and it is how it should be.” The example that he used to express this attitude he has towards his films, the clash and life in general is quite inspiring.
He further prodded how the clash is only business and not a compromise on his friendship with Khan. “We are in a business. We are also in a friendship. Both should be in their place. We should understand that business is business and friendship is friendship. Raees and Kaabil can clash but the friendship and business should not clash. Once you got that sorted out then you’re at peace. Everything teaches you something and every experience is a good experience. I’m looking forward to the clash because it’s something new. It’s happening for the first time so I’m going to enjoy,” said Hrithik.
Surely he has an optimistic approach towards the whole clash. We just hope this optimism continues to stay put till the release date and post the same. Both the production houses had reasons to have chosen the same date. However, we just wish for the best film to emerge victorious. What will you watch on January 25? Are you team Raees or Kaabil?
