Bollywood celebs are often known to form mutual admiration clubs, with many youngsters looking up to senior stars like Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, SRK, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra etc as their idols.

Recently YRF announced their new project that will star Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff in the lead role, and will be directed by Siddharth Anand. The yet-untitled movie is scheduled to release in January 2019. Before the announcement was made, Tiger had sent out this ominous tweet, “Sir @iHrithik. You are my Guru. But you should know when the game changes. #HrithikVsTiger”. To which Hrithik replied, “A Guru will always have that one trick, he doesnt teach his student. @iTIGERSHROFF #HrithikVsTiger”. Going by their tweets and that hashtag #HrithikVsTiger, it looks like they are going to lock horns in the movie.
Another interesting thing about their tweets is how Tiger called Hrithik his guru. We have heard a lot of times about Tiger referring to Hrithik as his idol, and Hrithik reciprocating the same loving sentiment. Tiger had also often wished to do a movie with Hrithik, and now that has worked for him.

Vikram Bhatt on Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea’s Raaz: People said kya C grade picture bana raha hai…

Raaz was a blockbuster when released in 2002...

Back in 70s, 80s and 90s horror genre was considered a C grade venture, it all changed in 2002 with Vikram Bhatt‘s Raaz. Upon the release, no one expected that a film featuring then newbies, Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea, and a genre that is considered too low class for audience will turn out to be the biggest blockbuster of that year in terms of profits. Chartbuster music, spooky premise, fine acting and able execution ensured the film’s smooth sailing. This year marks 25 years of Vikram Bhatt in the Hindi film industry as a filmmaker, so we caught with the director and chatted with him about his journey in Bollywood. And a conversation with Vikram Bhatt is incomplete without the mention of one of his biggest hits till date, Raaz.
When asked about if he had anticipated the unprecedented success of the film, reminiscing about Raaz, Vikram said, “No, no, no, as a matter of fact nobody wanted to do it. Everyone was like kya bhoot ka picture bana raha hai, C grade picture bana raha hai. A lot of people were of the opinion that I should not be making the film. Anyway, conviction is conviction and I went ahead and made it. And as they say, the rest is history.” 
When asked about such prejudice by audience and film industry to horror genre, and how it used to be the perception he said, “It is, haven’t really changed much. But what is B grade C grade yaar? Why blood and gore not aesthetic? We have this predetermined ideas of what is good and what is bad. Everybody stops to have a look at an accident. What is that inside you that makes you want to look at an accident? There is the most elemental thing in human thing is fear. Fear is the deepest of our emotion. So that’s not gonna go.”
He was then asked why does he think that horror genre is still not much exploited in India, is it because A list stars stay away from it, he explained, “It only because they know that they are not gonna get great reviews. Horror films never get great reviews because horror is about suspension of disbelief, right? Now you can come into a horror film saying ghost don’t exist. That’s a strange way of seeing a horror film. That’s like seeing Mahabharat and Ramayan and saying Gods don’t exist. So if you are coming with the idea of watching a horror film, trying to say that ghost and supernatural doesn’t exist. You don’t have to take the story seriously in the sense, you watch fantasy, you watch Narnia, you watch Star Wars, that space doesn’t exist. You watch Alien, aliens don’t exist or if they exist we don’t know. So, one has this typical mentality, if it doesn’t exist…if it’s not about poverty, realism or any real issue, then it’s not good enough. That’s a very myopic way of looking at things.”
Later, when I asked him then what is the reason behind same audience lapping up Hollywood horror films, who see Hindi horror in sheer disbelief, he said, “See India is… I’ll tell you what today is huge hypocrisy amongst people here. See if I’ll show you somebody reading from the bible and doing exorcism, you’ll lap it up. But if I’ll get priest and he reads Hanuman Chalisa, you’ll be like ‘What Shit!’ So in our mind we are still a slave to western culture. If you are watching Exorcism Of Emily Rose, you love it, if similar thing is happening here, you’ll be like aisa thode hi hota hai. It’s all mumbo-jumbo. Woh mumbo-jumbo nahin hai? Unka prayer mumbo-jumbo nahin hai, hamara prayer mumbo-jumbo hai. I don’t know what it is but for us our Gods and our religion is mumbo-jumbo, their Gods and their religion is pious. That’s because you see it in English films. What’s not mumbo-jumbo about exorcist? They reading from the Bible, she’s going around vomiting and everything but that’s not mumbo-jumbo.” 
Finally coming back to the topic of Raaz and its three sequels, I asked him what he thinks is the reason behind non-performance of the fourth part of Raaz series, Raaz Reboot. He contemplated, “I think, ‘A’ the film wasn’t great, ‘B’, I think people have moved away from…Raaz 1 came in 2002 and we are talking 15 years later, I think the kind of horror films to be made is now changed which is what I have done in 1921.”

While talking to IANS, the actor revealed, “There are a lot of things that get over hyped, but I think a lot of people feel very strongly about things like this (nepotism). They are privileged people and life can be very unfair to them. So, it’s good to discuss this. For the record, whatever jokes were made (on the award show), I have already explained my side. I am very against nepotism and I think it leads to a lot of mediocrity. But, I still don’t understand whether star children fell under nepotism or whether the talent is somewhere the key. But, definitely being a star kid gets you in the door easily. Then again it depends when people will put their money on you, then you must get it back. The bottom line is – talent is good, nepotism is bad.” 
Kangana was among the first ones who raised her voice against the existing nepotism in the entertainment industry and called filmmaker Karan Johar a ‘flag bearer of nepotism’ on his popular chat show Koffee With Karan. Later, Karan along with Saif Ali Khan and actor Varun Dhawan poked fun at Kangana at the IIFA Awards 2017 in July by saying that ‘nepotism rocks.’ The three of them later apologised for their act, while Kangana had the last laugh. Kunal Kemmu and Soha Ali Khan were blessed with a baby girl early in the morning today, on September 29. The actor announced the news on Twitter, when he wrote, “We are over the moon to share we have been blessed with a beautiful baby girl on this auspicious day. Thank you for the love and blessings.” Soha and the baby are currently at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital and according to reports, they will stay there for a day or two. The baby will then be shifted into an exquisite nursery that the couple has specially designed in their Khar house. And even before the pictures of the nursery are out, we have all the inside details for you right here…
A source close to the couple revealed to us exclusively, “Kunal and Soha wanted everything ready before the baby was born. They have constructed a small yet beautiful nursery for their child. Not only does it have a cute bed, but also several toys. The couple did not know if they were going to have a girl or boy and hence, they have coloured the nursery with neutral colours. They have also bought a high-end stroller, a few rockers and sling bags to take their baby along whenever they go out. The room has world class amenities too.” Ain’t that cool? 
Kunal Kemmu had also revealed to us last month that his baby’s nursery is nearly ready, when he said, “I don’t know if it is a boy or girl still, but I am excited. For now, we have stuck to neutral colours for the nursery. Judwaa 2 had released today and below are the mild SPOILERS about the film. You’ll be surprised to see Varun Dhawan doing away from Salman Khan’s mannerism and following that of Shah Rukh Khan’s. It’s a known fact that in the film, Varun Dhawan plays dual characters of Raja and Prem, it’s while in the character of Raja, Varun imitates Shah Rukh Khan.
In fact in every second scene, Raja speaks in that Shah Rukh Khan tone, mimicking him. In fact, he even mouths the famous Shah Rukh Khan dialogue from Raees, “Ammi Jaan Kehti Thi…”

One of the biggest movie events this year is the return of Rohit Shetty with the fourth entry in the Golmaal series. Golmaal Again is all set for a release on this Diwali. The trailer of the film, which was released a few days back, has been well received by the audience. We see that Rohit is aiming at the same kind of fun and masti with this film while mixing it with the horror comedy genre. Creative and daring, right! The movie stars Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Kunal Khemu, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade from the original gang while Parineeti Chopra and Tabu are the new addition to the cast. We all know that! But what we did not know is that the movie also has a Salman Khan connection. Yep!
Just this evening, Salman and Ajay took to Twitter and engaged in a short and sweet conversation that revealed the Golmaal connect between them. Turns out the movie heavily uses the e-cycles produced by Salman’s brand Being Human. The cycles you see in the promotional material of Golmaal Again have been manufactured by Being Human, for which Salman sent out a grateful tweet to the Golmaal team. The tweet has a picture attached, that features the cast standing with their e-cycles. Ajay wrote in return that he is one for himself, for his personal use.

There were rumours that there has been a fall out between good friends Salman and Ajay. This came right after Salman announced a war film with Akshay Kumar as the actor and Karan Johar as co-producer. Unknown to him Ajay, too, was making a war film, that too on the same source material -Battle of Saragarhi. But later reports suggested that Salman has opted out of KJo project once. Now, this exchange of tweets pretty much confirms that all is well between Ajay and Salman. Cheers to their friendship.
Salman has just wrapped up shooting for his film Tiger Zinda Hai. The movie is slated to release later this year. It is a sequel of his hit film Ek Tha Tiger and Salman reprises his role of an Indian agent who goes rogue to save his love life. Katrina Kaif, too, reprises her role from the first film. Then  after that Salman will start shooting for the second sequel of Race.

पनामा पेपर्स: बच्चन परिवार की बढ़ सकती हैं मुश्किलें, ED कर सकता है समन  

ईडी के अधिकारियों ने बताया है कि उन्होंने बच्चन परिवार को कुछ समय पहले नोटिस जारी कर 2004 के बाद से आरबीआई की एलआरएस योजना के तहत विदेश भेजे गए धन के बारे में जानकारी देने को कहा था.

Jamshedpur: पनामा पेपर्स मामले की जांच के संदर्भ में प्रवर्तन निदेशालय को बॉलीवुड अभिनेता अमिताभ बच्चन और उनके परिवार के सदस्यों के जवाब मिल गए हैं और उन्हें जल्द ही समन किया जा सकता है.

ईडी के अधिकारियों ने बताया है कि उन्होंने बच्चन परिवार को कुछ समय पहले नोटिस जारी कर 2004 के बाद से आरबीआई की एलआरएस योजना के तहत विदेश भेजे गए धन के बारे में जानकारी देने को कहा था.

उन्होंने बताया कि ‘फेमा’ के तहत जारी नोटिस के जवाब ईडी को मिल गए हैं.

सूत्रों ने बताया, ‘‘जवाब मिल गए हैं. उन्हें जांच के तहत जल्द समन किया जा सकता है.’’ अमिताभ बच्चन का नाम पनामा पेपर्स मामले में आया था और इस मामले की जांच आयकर विभाग भी कर रहा है.

Jamshedpur: कोरियोग्राफर-फिल्म निर्माता फराह खान का कहना है कि बॉलीवुड सुपरस्टार शाहरुख खान उनकी प्रेरक शक्ति हैं. उन्हें लगता है कि जब वो दोनों किसी फिल्म में साथ काम करते हैं तो वो जादू बिखेरते हैं.

फराह ‘मैं हूं ना’, ‘ओम शांति ओम’ और ‘हैप्पी न्यू ईयर’ जैसी फिल्मों में शाहरुख का निर्देशन कर चुकी हैं.

‘रईस’ के अभिनेता के साथ संबंधों के बारे में पूछे जाने पर फराह ने कहा, “मैं उनके साथ काम करने में बेहद सहज हूं और वह मेरी प्रेरणा हैं. मुझे लगता है कि जब हम साथ में कुछ काम करते हैं तो शानदार काम होता है.”

52 साल की फराह ने बताया कि वह शाहरुख खान के साथ शूटिंग का आनंद लेती हैं. उन्होंने कहा, “हम दोनों साथ काम करने में बेहद सहज महसूस करते हैं और हम इस प्रक्रिया का आनंद लेते हैं. जब वह मेरे साथ फिल्म करते हैं तो यह सबसे मनोरंजक प्रक्रिया होती है. मैंने एक दिन उनसे मजाक में कहा था, ‘तुम कहां जाओगे.. हमारा जन्म जन्मांतर का रिश्ता है.”‘

फराह इन दिनों स्टार प्लस के शो ‘लिप सिंग बैटल’ की मेजबानी कर रही हैं. यह अंतर्राष्ट्रीय शो ‘लिप सिंक बैटल’ का भारतीय रूपांतरण है.

वरुण धवन ने कहा, मैं सलमान खान से प्रभावित हूं

'जुड़वा-2' साल 1997 में आई सलमान खान स्टारर फिल्म 'जुड़वा' की रीमेक है. फिल्म में वरुण पहली बार राजा और प्रेम के रूप में दोहरी भूमिका में नजर आएंगे.

Jamshedpur: बॉलीवुड एक्टर वरुण धवन का कहना है कि वह किसी भी हॉलीवुड स्टार से प्रभावित नहीं हैं, बल्कि भारतीय सुपरस्टार सलमान खान से प्रभावित हैं.

‘जुड़वा-2’ साल 1997 में आई सलमान खान स्टारर फिल्म ‘जुड़वा’ की रीमेक है. फिल्म में वरुण पहली बार राजा और प्रेम के रूप में दोहरी भूमिका में नजर आएंगे.

वरुण ने गुरुवार को सलमान खान के साथ अपनी तस्वीर शेयर की. तस्वीर में दोनों मुस्कुराते नजर आ रहे हैं.

वरुण ने तस्वीर के साथ कैप्शन में लिखा, “मैं किसी भी हॉलीवुड कलाकार से प्रभावित नहीं हूं, बल्कि सलमान खान से प्रभावित हूं. मेरे राजा और प्रेम बनने के लिए आपका धन्यवाद. फिल्म अब आपकी है.”

फिल्म ‘जुड़वा-2’ में तापसी पन्नू और जैकलीन फर्नांडीज भी हैं.

मलाला की जिंदगी पर बन रही फिल्म ‘गुल मकाई’ की शूटिंग शुरू

ल्म की शूटिंग 2016 में ही शुरू हुई थी और कुछ हिस्सा गुजरात के भुज में शूट भी हुआ, लेकिन फिर इस पर काम रूक गया था. बहरहाल, फिल्म की शूटिंग फिर शुरू हो गई है. फिल्म का नाम ‘गुल मकाई’ इसलिए रखा गया है क्योंकि मलाला पाकिस्तान में रहते हुए इसी नाम से अपना ब्लॉग चलाया करती थीं.

फिल्म में मुख्य भूमिका निभा रहीं अभिनेत्री दिव्या दत्ता ने यह खबर साझा करते हुए ट्वीट किया, ‘‘गुलमकाई के लिए शूटिंग शुरू. फिल्म प्रेरणास्रोत मलाला पर आधारित है!! बेहद प्रतिभावान अतुल कुलकर्णी के साथ. उनके साथ लगातार दूसरी फिल्म.’’

अतुल कुलकर्णी ने इस पर जवाब दिया, ‘‘आपसे मिलना और आपके साथ काम करना हमेशा खुशनुमा होता है.’’ नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार से सम्मानित पाकिस्तानी कार्यकर्ता मलाला यूसुफजई के जीवन पर बन रही फिल्म ‘गुल मकाई’ में इस बाल कार्यकर्ता की भूमिका रीम शेख निभा रही हैं. शेख इस किरदार के लिए कड़ी मेहनत कर रही हैं.

12 जुलाई, 1997 में जन्मी मलाला बचपन से ही मानवाधिकारों, खास तौर से लड़कियों की शिक्षा की पैरोकार रही हैं. अपने पिता से प्रभावित होकर मानवाधिकारों के लिए लड़ने वाली मलाला को चुप कराने के लिए तालिबान ने नौ अक्तूबर, 2012 को गोली मार दी थी. गोली मलाला के सिर में लगी और बहुत मुश्किल से उन्हें बचाया जा सका.

मलाला को ‘टाइम पत्रिका’ ने साल 2013, 2014 और 2015 में लगातार तीन सालों तक दुनिया के सबसे प्रभावशाली लोगों की सूची में रखा. मलाला को उनके कार्यों के लिए साल 2014 का नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार दिया गया. वह शांति पुरस्कार पाने वाली दुनिया की सबसे कम उम्र की व्यक्ति हैं.

स्वर कोकिला लता मंगेशकर को राष्ट्रपति, प्रधानमंत्री समेत कई दिग्गजों ने दी जन्मदिन की शुभकामनाएं

साल 1942 में अपने करियर की शुरूआत करने वाली लता मंगेशकर ने हिन्दी और मराठी सहित देश की लगभग 20 भाषाओं के संगीत में अमूल्य योगदान दिया है. वह दुनिया में सबसे ज्यादा रेकॉर्ड की जाने वाली गायिका हैं.

Jamshedpur: स्वर कोकिला लता मंगेशकर को राष्ट्रपति और प्रधानमंत्री सहित सभी लोगों ने आज जन्मदिन की शुभकामनाएं देते हुए उनके लंबे और स्वस्थ जीवन की कामना की है.

भारत के राष्ट्रपति के आधिकारिक टि्वटर हैंडल से पोस्ट किया गया है, ‘‘भारत की ‘सुर साम्राज्ञी’ लता मंगेशकर जी को जन्मदिन की शुभकामनाएं. उनकी आवाज देश के संगीत की आत्मा बनी रहे – राष्ट्रपति कोविन्द.’’

लता मंगेशकर ने राष्ट्रपति को धन्यवाद देते हुए ट्वीट किया है, ‘‘आदरणीय राष्ट्रपति महोदय, आप की शुभकामनाओं के लिए मैं आपकी हृदय से आभारी हूं.’’

बीजेपी अध्यक्ष और राज्यसभा के सदस्य अमित शाह ने ट्वीट किया, ‘‘अपनी मधुर आवाज और संगीत कौशल से समूचे विश्व में भारत को गौरवान्वित करने वाली भारत रत्न आदरणीय लता दीदी को जन्मदिन की मंगलकामनाएं.’’

एनसीपी नेता और पूर्व केन्द्रीय मंत्री शरद पवार ने मराठी में ट्वीट करके लता मंगेशकर को शुभकामनाएं दी हैं.

फिल्म निर्देशक मधुर भंडारकर ने अपनी और लता की तस्वीरें साझा करते हुए ट्वीट किया, ‘‘संगीत की देवी और हमारी प्रिय दीदी लता मंगेशकर को जन्मदिन की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं. आप दीर्घायु और स्वस्थ रहें.’’
