Lip Sing Battle review: Farah Khan and Ali Asgar make this musical show a paisa-vasool entertainment

Farah Khan promised us entertainment while promoting
the show and the filmmaker delivers just that. Lip Sing Battle is one of
the most entertaining shows and it will definitely make your weekend
amazing. Though we could do with less drama from Ali Asgar and we are
just bored of watching him cross dress every time for every show. But
yeah was being funny at times, there is no denying that. Farhan Akhtar
and Arjun Kapoor were the first guests on the show and you’d literally
have a smile on your face till the very end of this show.
No pressure of elimination, no emotional drama, there is some sleazy flirting but we can let it go. There were also a lot of puns in the show since Farah was basically being herself. The hamper that the guests get in this show is going to give Karan Johar major goals. Not only are they huge but they’ll make you really jealous. My first reaction on looking at the gift hamper was ‘I want!!!’
What’s it about
There are two rounds between two celebrities and they have to lip sync while ensuring they’re entertaining. We absolutely loved the songs that have been chosen for the celebs. The best part is that the audience chooses a winner by cheering the loudest for them. At the end of second round, the audience was cheering for both Farhan and Arjun one after the other. There is a cheer-io- meter which records the decibel of the sound the audience is making. Based on which the winner is chosen.
What’s hot
The songs and the performances are absolutely energetic. Trust me you will not stop smiling till the episode is over. And lip syncing is not that easy a task. You won’t even realise how an hour passed. There is a lot of madness and energy in the show which is contagious.
What’s not
Bas hogaya yaar, please don’t make Ali cross dress! We are done with it. He can be funny as himself, too. Just let him be who he is. We could do with a little less sleazy comedy in the show because we have been seeing him do that for years now.
Verdict
You must definitely watch it. In fact, tomorrow’s episode is going to be more entertaining since you’ll see KJo and Parineeti Chopra going crazy here.
