Shah Rukh Khan-Sushant Singh Rajput, Salman Khan-Varun Dhawan – 5 guru-chela jodis we want to see onscreen after Hrithik Roshan–Tiger Shroff
Bollywood celebs are often known to form mutual admiration clubs, with many youngsters looking up to senior stars like Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, SRK, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra etc as their idols.
Recently YRF announced their new project that will
star Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff in the lead role, and will be
directed by Siddharth Anand. The yet-untitled movie is scheduled to
release in January 2019. Before the announcement was made, Tiger had
sent out this ominous tweet, “Sir @iHrithik. You are my Guru. But you
should know when the game changes. #HrithikVsTiger”. To which Hrithik
replied, “A Guru will always have that one trick, he doesnt teach his
student. @iTIGERSHROFF #HrithikVsTiger”. Going by their tweets and that
hashtag #HrithikVsTiger, it looks like they are going to lock horns in
the movie.
Another interesting thing about their tweets is how Tiger called Hrithik his guru. We have heard a lot of times about Tiger referring to Hrithik as his idol, and Hrithik reciprocating the same loving sentiment. Tiger had also often wished to do a movie with Hrithik, and now that has worked for him.
Bollywood celebs are often known to form mutual admiration clubs, with many youngsters looking up to senior stars like Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, SRK, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra etc as their idols. However, not many of them get a chance to do a movie with their idol, because of the stars’ recently found aversion for multi-starrers. But with Hrithik and Tiger working together, let’s hope Bollywood can also bring these five guru chela jodis together on screen…
Shah Rukh Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput
Sushant Singh Rajput has often made his admiration for Shah Rukh Khan known and had even paid a tribute to him during an award function. Both SRK and SSR have come from a television background to make it big in Bollywood. Sushant even likes to tweet philosophically just like SRK. Since both are known for their acting mettle, why not have them come together for an intense family drama, or perhaps that Vikram Vedha remake that SRK is rumoured to be doing.
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt
Alia has said quite a few times that she admires Kareena a lot. You can see that inspiration sometimes in her performances in movies like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. They have done Udta Punjab together last year, but they didn’t get to share screen in even a single scene in the movie. So why not rectify that and make a movie like Thelma & Louise starring these two?
Salman Khan and Varun Dhawan
When it comes to comedy, Varun Dhawan often imitates two actors that his father, David Dhawan, had worked with the most – Salman Khan and Govinda, especially the former. While Salman Khan is doing a cameo in Varun’s upcoming Judwaa 2, it is a blockbuster idea to make them team up for a buddy comedy. Directed by David Dhawan, of course.
Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh
Ranveer Singh has many idols – at one moment he says it’s Govinda, then he says its SRK or Salman or Aamir. But going by the energetic zest that he shared with Akshay Kumar for that promotional video, maybe we need to capture their collective zany energies in a Housefull movie. What do you think of this, Sajid Khan?
Priyanka Chopra and Shraddha Kapoor
Shraddha Kapoor has been seen praising Priyanka Chopra on numerous occasions. Recently she had said this about who her idol is, “I’ve always been a Priyanka Chopra fan. I feel that the work she has done, she has been consistently proving herself. So Priyanka Chopra.” They could do a mentor-mentee sort of movie, maybe a remake of The Devil Wears Prada. That is if Priyanka Chopra has the time to do a Bollywood movie!
