Meri Pyaari Bindu song Haareya: Arijit Singh’s soulful singing lends a magical touch to Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra’s love story
Dil Haareya is composed Sachin-Jigar and sung by the most in-demand singer for such songs, Arijit Singh
The trailers of Meri Pyaari Bindu are filled with very popular yesteryear songs like Lag Ja Gale, Disco 82, Koi Yahan Naache Naache. Just
when we thought that the romantic entertainer might be using old songs
as a part of its soundtrack, here comes an original song that is bound
to melt your hearts. Dil Haareya is composed Sachin-Jigar and sung by
the most in-demand singer for such songs, Arijit Singh. Sachin-Jigar is
one of the underrated music composer duos we have in the industry, and
they have composed a fine melody for the song, that will appeal to all
romantics.
Even though Ayushmann Khurrana himself is a good singer, the composers have gone for Arijit Singh to provide the vocals for the song, and the man, as always, doesn’t disappoint at all. I loved the starting beats, that matches the type writing of Ayushmann’s character, Abhimanyu Roy. The song is about the character’s obsession and love for the girl of his heart, Bindu, played by Parineeti Chopra. The lyrics by Priya Saraiya complement well with the music and the mood of the song. I am sure you would definitely save this for your playlist.
Any niggles? A little one. Abhimanyu Roy is supposed to be a Bengali guy, so the use of certain Punjabi words in the lyrics doesn’t suit the character’s background. But then what’s a Bollywood song without a couple of Punjabi verses!
Here’s the song…
Meri Pyaari Bindu is scheduled to release on May 12.
