Prabhas and Rana Daggubati‘s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion
has left everyone awestruck. Not only is the film fantastic, but the
amount of money it has been raking in at the box office is also
humongous. In 2 days, SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus has collected Rs 223 crore, which was an unimaginable feat till today! With that, Baahubali 2 has completely demolished Salman Khan’s Sultan record and become the fastest to enter the Rs 200 crore club. Last year, Sultan had become the fastest two hundred crore grossing film in just seven days. But with the second part of the Baahubali franchise achieving it in just 2 days, the movie has completely destroyed the previous record.
Apart from this record, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has many other feats to its name already. It now holds the record for the highest opening day occupancy, highest opening day collection, the highest second day collection, the widest release and many more. But even after it has collected such a startling amount, there is nothing to stop the movie. From what we hear, the occupancies on Sunday have been fantastic. People have been raving about the movie at the theatres as well as on the social media. This combined with the good reviews given out by the critics will surely help Baahubali 2 will see a growth on day 3.
From our reckoning, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion will rake in another Rs 110-130 crore on day 3 and end up with a first weekend collection of more than Rs 300 crore. With that, we are sure it will not only become the highest weekend grosser ever, but also the fastest to enter the Rs 300 crore club. From there on, the movie will continue to rake in the moolah and with Monday being a holiday across most of India, there won’t be a major dip as such on day 4.
