Amitabh Bachchan sports a Sikh avatar and NO, it’s not for Thugs Of Hindostan

Ever since reports of Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan donning Sikh avatars in Thugs of Hindostan surfaced, it seems like both the actors are literally teasing us by sporting looks but not for the film! Earlier it was Aamir, who wore the Punjabi sardar look for Star Plus’ Nayi Soch initiative. And now we have Amitabh wearing a similar look for an ad shoot. he didn’t give us the details of the same but he surely set Twitter ablaze with speculation tweets about Thugs of Hindostan. Initially, the actor just posted his pictures from the sets and tweeted, “T 2493 – My Nani, Amar Kaur Sodhi .. and my Nana Khazan Singh Suri .. must be smiling from the heavens to see me thus .. in my Sikh roots !!” Now obviously, it would lead anyone to believe that it is his look for the Yash Raj produced film. But no! That’s not the case.
He soon clarified the same as he tweeted, “NO sir .. this is from an Ad., I worked in today .. !! NOT thugs .. hehehe” Yeah, well, that says it all. It is surprising that both the actors got ad projects where they have been asked to sport as Punjabi sardars. One thing is certain here, they both surely look super cool as sardars, don’t you think? These pictures are actually preparing us to see them don a turban and engage in some Punjabi conversation. You can check it out below.
Earlier in March, Aamir had revealed the real reason behind him wearing the turbaned look. It’s weird that although the pics of the actor wearing a red turban did the rounds in January itself, he waited till March to reveal the true reason behind him donning the look. Big B, on the other hand, immediately clarified that it wasn’t for the film. We must say, he definitely looks convincing as a Sikh man in the pics, don’t you think?
Starring Aamir and Amitabh together for the first time, Thugs might also have Shraddha Kapoor as the lead. While there have been innumerable rumours about Fatima Sana Shaikh and many such names finding association with the film, we think perhaps it’s Shraddha who’s going to take home the role. She has been spotted outside the superstar’s residence a lot of times lately. It would be her first Khan film, if that happens!
