The Fast and Furious series has always been one of the most popular franchises in India. It’s no wonder after raking in a whopping collection at the paid previews, the box office day1 reports have been just as splendid. As per reports by Taran Adarsh, the movie has raked in Rs 14 crore on Thursday which totals the amount to Rs 22 crore. And this is just day 1 of the long weekend. If the box office collection keeps up this momentum the movie will soon join the rnaks of Logan to become of the highest grossing Hollywood films in India. For the F&F franchise it won’t be first time. When Furious 7 released it went on to become of the highest grossing Hollywood films of that year. Primarily because part 7 was a tribute to Paul Walker. The emotional quotient, that fans could relate to was one of the key reaosn the mvoie went on to become a hit. With Furious 8, we can expect to witness a repeat performance at the BO. Bollywoodlife told you EXCLUSIVELY that the film was expected to perform well at the box office. Trade expert Akshay Rathi had also mentioned that the mvoie would get 1700-1800 in India as opposed to 120 screens for begum Jaan. “The Fate of the Furious can very conveniently earn Rs 10 crore on day one. The opening weekend can be anywhere between between Rs 30-35 crore.” With a great state and a brillaint day one colleciton, the movie is fast becoming another blockbuster after Logan.
As per reports by Sreedhar Pillai, the Tamil version is also doing splendidly in B&C markets. The movie ‘s advance booking has actually taken over other Tamil films for this April 14 weekend. Whoa! At the rate which Furious 8, it’s going to be one bombastic movie!
