When Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty announced Golmaal Again (a.k.a Golmaal 4), they had mentioned that the film would release during Diwali 2017. But after a delayed start to the film and with Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar deciding to release 2.0 during the same weekend, there was an uncertainty if the makers would launch their film this year or not? In fact, when Aamir Khan also decided to move Secret Superstar for a Diwali release, reports started doing the rounds that the makers of Golmaal Again are now looking for a release slot in 2018. However, we can now confirm to you guys that these reports were absolutely false and the movie will release this year. In fact,  Ajay Devgn’s Golmaal Again will battle it out with Rajinikanth’s 2.0 and Aamir Khan‘s Secret Superstar this Diwali. Yes, the MEGA clash is on!
Confirming this news to Mumbai Mirror, Shibasish Sarkar (Chief Operating Officer of Reliance Entertainment, joint producers of the film) revealed, “Golmaal Again, one of the most successful franchises of the Indian film industry, has created huge curiosity and demand among the exhibitors and distributors of the country. On their demand, we decided on a wide-scale release in the Diwali weekend of 2017, the festival period being apt for families and children.” From what we hear, the makers were trying to lock in a certain amount of screens for the movie before making the announcement and once they got the assurance, the team has decided to release the movie this Diwali itself.

Golmaal Again features Ajay Devgn, Parineeti Chopra, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Tabu, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu and a few others. The team recently wrapped up the Mumbai schedule and are currently shooting in Hyderabad. After completing this schedule, the team go on a break and will return for a month long schedule in Ooty towards the end of May.
